That may be true, but I can't make my rankings based on what could have happened. For all we know, Calzaghe could stop Hopkins in a rematch and vault himself to the #1 position in my rankings. On the other hand, Hopkins could be the better man in the rematch. We are talking about splitting hairs here and I just feel Hopkins is still the slightly better fighter.
Nice job!!!! :good I know that, do you understand my post? We aren't talking about B level competition, we are talking about how they have performed vs. the elite in the boxing world.
I did but when JC won the WBO strap the SMW division was one of the weakest divisions and he beat everybody their.
Im going to just say what every one else is thinking 1 BLACK man :scaredas: :scaredas: :scaredas: must be a conspiracy
I'm not completely discounting resume but in the description that I previously provided on how I view the p4p list, a fighters resume would be trumped by style and substance. Again, the way I view the fictional p4p rankings is an top to bottom order of all boxers if they were in the same weight division but retained all of the strengths and advantages that make them who they are at their current weight. Based on this criteria Hatton doesn't make the list and PTP does. Now even if I used resume as the main criteria I still would rank PTP currently ahead of Hatton. Like I said PTP was able to beat Margarito at the peak of his career for his belt and Margarito was able to beat Cotto at the peak of his career for his belt. Both of the guys are currently ranked in the top 10 P4P which imo constitutes PTP to make the list.
1. Hopkins 2. Calzaghe 3. Hatton 4. Pac 5. Williams 6. Margarito 7. Cotto 8. Darchinyan 9. Marquez 10. Taylor
thats a ****ing joke, pacman below hatton??? williams in 5th??? marquez at 9??????????hopkins 1st???? i`m not jokin, but this is obviously a joke right?
No joke, Hatton owns Pac, they are identical in size, thus Hatton ranks higher P4P. Marquez top 5? please, the only people who have Marquez top 5 are those who scan other peoples lists and throw him in there for credibility. And yes old man Hopkins is hands down the most skilled and most difficult to beat boxer in the game today.
Rankings not that bad, but JMM shouldnt be second - he did lose to Pacman. Joe should be two, especially because of his win against bernard(and we all saw bernard still packed some good stuff in his last fight). Paul Williams beat margarito A LONG time ago. Since that moment, he didn't beat anybody significant(and lost to quintana). If his next win is against someone decent(any belt holder from 147 to 168), then we can put him in there.
