Don't sleep on Thiago. He's a real factor at LHW.

 

Strikeforce - Jan 30th - Thomson says he wants to come back immediately on that card so it's not **** at all if he gets on it.

 

Definitely the two most likely scenarios but it's not altogether unlikely that we see an Evans KO as well. Thiago was destroyed on his feet by Machida (not that Rashad wasn't) and Evans has real speed and power. Also, Evans hammerfists against Griffin were absolutely brutal and he could definitely win by stoppage on the feet or from ground and pound.

I'm just super excited for this fight. I've been a huge fan of Thiago's style since I first saw him (BJJ for position followed by awesome GnP from the mount).

 

Evans is defensive yet explosive and deadly. Very much like Machida. I think Machida fought the better version of that style when they met.

Evans has the defensive ability to defuse Silva and then walk him onto something horrible. However Evans says he'll use his wrestling more. Silva has some bombs to throw but Evans can be smart enough to defuse Silvas style. Then again if Silva imposes himself it could be lights out.

 

WEC 46 looks pretty awesome. The Dynamite show should be good I think, not just in MMA but also K-1 with the Masato/Souwer fight and just the sheer amount of fights on.

UFC 108 is disappointing. The main event is a foregone conclusion imo. Thiago Silva is getting KTFO. The only interesting fights for me are Dos Santos/Yvel and Daley/Hazelett.

 

Diaz-Zamroskis isnt what id call a mismatch, Lashley isnt a side show either the guy is a legitmate fighter hes proved this with his wrestling credentials and being 4-0 agianst somewhat quality oppostion.

 

I agree that Lashley isn't a sideshow at 4-0 with a wrestling background. Walker is a bit of a sideshow but the NFL background gives some spin will make me watch. Some random won't muster any interest in me.

 

Ill admitt I do have some slight intrigue in seeing what Walker can do. It has little to do with him being a Football superstar in the 80s. Walker is a special kind of athlete, I know he is a Blackbelt in TKD so he has some experience in a martial art, hes training with AKA ive ever seen him roll with Cain Velasquez and he didnt look to bad. What concerns me is him being close to 48 years old. If he where say 33-34 I think he could be successful right now im afraid he can be sleeping on one decent shot.

 

Again, I agree completely. Being a top athlete intrigues me but 48 is crazy age. I hope he's kept his body in great shape so despite it slowing down it'll be 38 instead of 48.

I understand Frank Shamrock is training Walker.

 

That is a decent guy to have id think. When you watch Frank as analyst for Strikeforce it seems to me the things he says in the keys or when the guy is making his entrance make no sense and he sounds like an idiot. However when the fights are taking place he reminds me of when RJJ worked for HBO. When he says something might happen well on cue they happen.

 

oh ****, just realised diaz is fighting zaromskis. marius is a sick head. he has some brutal striking. i wouldn't sleep on him in that fight. The guy has 10 ko's out of 13 wins. Only 1 decision win!

lashley vs del rosario is a sick fight too.

don't know the bird cyborg is fighting but she is 17-3 which isn't a journeyman. cyborg should be in the men's class anyway so everyone is a gimme to her

it's a sick card imo. can't wait to see it now, especially if thomson gets on it like he wants.
