The newest hottest division in boxing will be in a year or two

He makes some great points. That is a lot of names in that weight range.

 

SMW kicks the **** out of 147 and 140 combined.

 

That's a big claim. I gotta disagree with ya on that one. I'm open minded tough, I invite you to present your case for Super Middle weight. I might change my mind.

 

Super Middle is great right now. But that guy is right. There are a lot of top quality fights that could be made at 140 right now. Not quite enough star power and glamor though (beyond Pacquiao and Hatton of course)

 

Abraham-Taylor-Kessler-Ward-Forch contractually obligated to fight each others (12 guaranteed fights between them for the next 18 months). Bute, Andrade, Bika, Green, Balzsay, Inkin, Miranda, Larsen, Mundine all good names. Pavlik moving up in the future. P. Williams, Hopkins, Dawson, Jones Jr, Pascal, Wright might move to 168 in the future. New blood: Korobov, Jacobs, Boo Boo Andrade, Luis Garcia, Fernando Guerrero, N'Dam N'Jikam, DeGale, Saunders.

Nice very, nice indeed but you did say better than 140 & 147 right? you make a nice case for SMW maybe being better than either one of them separate but not together. You also put a couple fighters that could but have yet to officially move to SMW. With that said I gotta give you props you made a nice case that I can't easily dismiss.


Now what SMW will get all the props in the world for is the tournement that they got going on, I wish all divisions would do it!!!!

Yes, I just hope that noone among the six loses confidence even in the face of three defeats. All six are so awesome that a fighter could easily loose three fights and still have a great future - and potentially beat anyone else currently there or moving up (like Pavlik etc.).

I'm sorry but I refuse to listen to some mundane person speak for over 6 minutes about what he thinks is going to be the hottest division sometime in the future. It shouldn't take more than a minute.

 

To sum up: Several good fighters weigh approximately 140 lbs.
