Anthony Yarde has great power but gets hit too much/has poor defence/little head movement. His ceiling is Fringe world level, he'd never beat the big dawgs like Kovalev, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Bivol, Stevenson, Jack.
Other than Connor Benn who still has loads of time on his side the OP originals suggestions are a bit weak. AJ beat Wlad in a thriller - but with Fury out of the mix was the next best fighter to face anyway., holds another belt and looks certain to be going againt Wilder next year. If he wins that and even now he's hardly been a failure. Eubank is going against Groves next in a genuine 50/50 fight. Wins that he has a world title and bigger fights to come. Benn got a gut check and with some dodgy (by all accounts) cards came through.I dont think anyone thinks Benn is world class i think Hean has mentioned he's really there cause of his name and is learning on the job. In terms of hype i don't think Hughie is going to get world honors. Yarde, i see him as a fun banger but as soon as someone stands up to his power then he's in trouble
people were really praising Benn after his KO win in America.. Catterall - I've never rated him but was getting a lot of hype a few years ago when he beat Stalker but I suppose it has died down. OKolie has threads on him like this https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/anthony-joshua-lawrence-okolie-ohara-davies.584267/
Aj is way past a hype job.Eubank is getting there.I think he will decision or TKO Groves late. Benn is getting hyped. His name don't help him.I hope he goes far but I have my doubts about him. He's young and still learning.Maybe area or Britsh level?Think you got 1 out of 3. If you had said "exposed" then you might of got a different response.
Don't really get the exposed comments. Every fighter finds there level. If you are looking for fighters that aren't going to get to the level expected then I would look at the Olympians. Okolie Buatsi and Fowler I would prefer to be wrong though. I always back the British boxers. A lot of things depend on timing.
Hype jobs they may be in certain peoples views, but i don't like the title. I don't like this who will fail line, regardless of many peoples opinions, mine included, i wish them all great success...
I remember back when David Price was known as a hype job, how ironic that Priceisback should start a thread on hype jobs.
