Andre Ward is mixed race, as many African American's are but Ward is as much of a white fighter as a black 1 really

The Bradley & Alexander winner is going to be something, although neither is going to be a multi-division champ, athough the winner could give us a 140lb domination. Paul Williams could well go down as a great fighter if he beats Martinez and becomes a great MW and beats other top names from other divisions

The best black fighters aren't African American though, they are Gamboa and Rigondeaux

FREDDY it seems there aren't any new great mexicans in the pipeline to keep up the tradition of Sanchez, Chavez, Barrera, Morales, Marquez (edit I suppose there is the Ginger). What's happened to boxing?

Black American boxers will lose to Euro-level athletes who dominate the sport today. Blacks from Cuba will replace American Blacks as the biggest threat to Eurodominance. Cuban Blacks have similar style to American Blacks who used to compete in Olympics against tough, Euro-level amateurs. If you closely examine Lara, Rigondeaux, Gamboa, and a few others, you can easily compare them to many past Black American greats. Quick athletic specimens, superb technical skills and defense (except for gamboa), and slick movement. However, Euro-level athletes will continue to dominate for years.

i was high on devon, but the way kotelnik gave him problems really left me thinking.....someone like floyd or shane at 140-147 would've dominated him easy

Devon Alexander could be back on track with a big win on Jan 29. He would have been the runaway choice here a few months back. Crazy how 1 bad performance kills you. The Kotelnik fight could very well end up as his Castillo moment.

He has size to compete at 147 and possibly 154 if he keeps improving.

Outside of the obvious possibilities (Ward, Dirrell, Bradley, Alexander, Berto), there are a few possibilities. Rau'shee Warren could be pretty good when he goes pro, although he won't get a ton of attention at his weight unless he wins gold next time out. Brad Solomon and Marcus Johnson have both looked pretty solid to me lately. And I still think Danny Jacobs has the potential to go very far despite his recent setback.

But to answer your question, I think the following boxers have ATG potential:

    Andre Ward
    Andre Dirrell
    Chad Dawson
    Timothy Bradley
    Devon Alexander
    Paul Williams
Demetrius Andrade (although its still early)
    Gary Russell Jr.
Eddie Chambers would dominate the cruiserweights and could potentially become one of the greatest cruisers of all time by cleaning out the edivision.

    and countless others.

I haven't given up on Dawson myself, I still have high hopes for him despite his last fight where he gave the fight to Pascal.

I like Tim Bradley, but I think he, like Miguel Cotto, is peaking right now, and that sooner or later, his career will plateau, he will lose a few fights and we still start to get a real reflection of how good he actually is, which is very good, but not elite level imo, he lacks too many physical attributes, although he has a huge heart and good allround skills, just that he does not excel in anything accept for heart imo.

BTW, im not saying Cotto is peaking now, but he was when he beat Mosley and Judah.
