Andre Ward-most likely. being mixed he is part black/african american and I could see him move up in weight eventually.
    Deontay Wilder-could get there.
    Timothy Bradley
    Gary Russel Jr.

Yes, I commented on that earlier. The Cuban Blacks are what American Blacks used to be. Similar in that they have highly polished boxing skills, most of them are slick with great defense, and they are exceptionally athletic.

In essense, I think that they will compete alongside Europeans in the coming years for dominance in the sport. I dont think Mexico and Puerto Rico will have much success in the coming years, and will mostly serve as gatekeepers and journeymen to the above-mentioned groups of fighters.

Andre Dirrell - He is flash, fast, and quick witted. I am sure as the boxing establishment pisses him off he will begin to really start to snap back. This will make him a star.

Andre Ward - I like him, but I fear he will be much like Mosley. Too nice to hate. Too loved to like. Nobody likes a nice Black guy. Only guy to pull that off was SRL.

Mike Jones - If he can step up his punch rate he has the goods.

Honestly I think the next big thing on the scene will be the "Slick Mexican American" fighters. Mexicans who grew up loving the Black fighters, but still have the chin and machismo. That will be a hell of a combination. They will carry the American Boxing torch.

Which ones? Which Cuban Blacks are on the scene that fight like American fighters? Cuban Blacks are extremely fundamentally sound and offensive minded. Much like Eastern Euro fighters.

Not sure what you mean here as Americans just will disappear from the higher weights and Cubans/Ricans just don't produce too many big guys. The lower weights don't seem to be dominated by Europeans... yet.

Thing is, most Mexican-Americans fight in lower weight classes. I do not think they will be able to compete with Cubans at all in the coming years.

Additionally, many Mexican Americans just do not have the athleticism I have seen in slick Black American athletes and I dont think they will be able to successfully pull off that style.

Sure, but Mexican Americans will filter into the "higher" (actually mid-range) weight classes up to about 154.

Cubans are not known to be "big" guys and usually hang out in the same "middle range" as I am guessing Mexican Americans would.

They are not known to be big guys, but already they are producing talents in all weight classes. They, by far, have better prospects in the higher weight classes than do Mexican Americans do. In fact, there are virtually no Mexican American prospects of relevance on the horizon above 140.

As a whole, in my opinion, Cuban prospects are a level or two above Mexican AND Mexican American prospects right now. Better skills and more athleticism seen from my perspective.

You are completely missing the point...

Athletic Mexican Americans above a certain size who don't mind "contact" are going to "suffer" from the same issue as all Americans... Football. Baseball and Basketball to a lesser extent.

If a person is talented enough athletically to excel in a sport why in the hell wouldn't you leverage it to go to college for free? If you are REALLY good, go to the NFL or NBA where the MINIMUM salaries are NFL ($325K - $820K) and NBA ($474K). Boxing for an American big man is literally the WORST option.

IMHO, at the weights that will be contested by Mexican Americans (135-154), I see some pretty promising Mexican American prospects.

Andre Ward is black. He has lived his entire life as a black man in the US and is viewed by society here as black period end of discussion. People like you kill me with that ****. Anytime there's someone talented or educated you wanna come around saying he's not black but if he was some Joe Blow he would be black as a thousand midnights. GTFOH! If Andre Ward wasn't one of the most talented young boxers in the sport today you wouldn't give a **** but since he is you wanna say he's not Black. Andre Ward is as black as I am.:deal

BTW there's plenty of elite black talent that will come out if the US much to your displeasure I'm sure so don't fool yourself.

Yeah he ain't Black... Just his mother is... He spent years on Oakland... Wife and kids are... LMAO. I swear these guys are trying so hard to reclaim people. I wonder if there is some "lightness ratio" where these guys will walk into any Black American neighborhood and invalidate the resident's Blackness. :rofl
