Lets call it 2030, we no longer have Inoue, Bud, Usyk, is there any for sure current fighters that you expect will be in contention for Pound for Pound?

    Shakur.
    Bam.
    Boots Ennis.

They are my 3 certs i dont see losing in the current landscape of their divisions even if all 3 were to take on their toughest available tests. Anyone else you can think of with sheer confidence by 2030 they will have a good case for Pound for Pound?

That's too far IMO given it's p4p - lose one and you're out unless you've met another p4p guy. Nakatani-Naoya will tell us where the number one spot is going for the next 2-3.

But Bivol until he loses or retires is going to be right in that mix.

I don't think anybody has really pulled away with it even now.

Nobody has gone off and done something like RJJ dominating Toney or Pacquiao moving up ripping Barrera to pieces.

Id give it to Usyk because he cleaned out Cruiser and moving up to HW is the hardest jump.

But nobody today has done something ridiculous.

I think i was looking for more in the potential of fighters you could see once this current crop are gone, the mantle has to fall to somebody. I think its more about making assumptions of current fighters and their potential future opponents whether they could be next in line. I think Shakur is almost a lock that he will be in contention for top spot, i really dont see him losing unless he branches out too far in weight. As stacked as 130-140 is with potential banana skins and top fighters. I dont see any of them beating him.

Bam for me is spectacular, i think him vs Nakatani one day will be brilliant. If Nakatani takes over from Inoue, he could become a real star and be Bams key to becoming a real star himself.

Boots i rate highly, but i do think there could be a upset waiting for him at 154-160. Also wouldnt be shocked if he beat them all.

Was just wondering if there were any other names people had full confidence in that, yeah, this guy i can for sure see being in the next batch of pound for pound conversations.

I really like Moses, i just feel uncertain about throwing heavyweights in simply because of how easy it is to slip up. One punch at heavyweight has ruined so many career trajectories.

True, but shutting out Toney AND Hopkins is mental.

Just won the 75kg yesterday. 20 year old, an amazing talent. Though he may be unlikely to turn pro before 2028 olympics.
