Canelo will be exposed eventually as rather ordinary, as will Chavez Jr.
The next Mexican big three will be at lighter weights.

Hahaha very true! A Mexican-American is not the same thing as a Mexican. Marquez, Arce, Canelo, Chavez Jr, Mares, Morales etc. are all Mexicans. Ortiz, Benavidez, Guerrero, ODLH, Vargas, etc..are Mexican-Americans which are not considered REAL Mexicans by the people from Mexico but rather "pochos".

They have to be born and raised in Mexico.

It all depends on how you carry yourself. Benavidez and Rios carry themselves like Mexicans so they are accepted. It's a culture thing, not just solely on where you were born. Mexicans like the majority of the Latinos are very proud people. We always keep our heritage in tact.

This is true to an extent. I think most Mexicans feel if you're not from Mexico, you're not Mexican period.

If we're counting Mexican-Americans, then Mikey Garcia deserves a shout.

Johnny Tapia got the respect of Mexicans born in Mexico, so much so that Barrera tagged his name on his shorts for every big fight.

I'm not sure if you're joking, but I think Tapia is Barrera's mom's maiden name. I think Lamply explains that in his first fight against Morales.

I thought we were talking about new combo plates at Taco Bell. I have no idea because I only like Pacquiao.

    :deal

Jesus Chavez, who was born in Mexico but moved to Chicago in his teens, was deported back to Mexico after spending a few years in Jail and he wasn't accepted by the Mexicans straight away, but earned it after some fights back in his homeland. He was born there, Rios and Benavidas weren't so will be alot harder to accept them
