You have to at least live some years in Mexico to be considered Mexican, you can be born in the U.S. or any other country but if you live in Mexico for say 10, 15, years, Mexicans will start considering you a true Mexican, is about living among Mexicans, living in the country and knowing the culture, being Mexican is not just listening to Mariachi and Corridos, and wearing a Mexican flag, I know many Mexicans who don't like Mariachi Music or corridos some even hate it, but they are just as Mexican as anybody who plays corridos and wear a cowboy hat and boots, Mexico has dozens of different cultures, it varies from city to city, region to region, Mexico DF is know to have millions of rockers.
