Looks like Robbe has really PROVEN his power with this KO win over Peter.
Opponents combined record is 240-89, and he has now 5 credible wins inside his 15th fight.
3 against top 25 guys. 2 against not so outta prime former HW champions. Not bad at all for a GREEN semi sloppy fighter.

His chin was PROVEN today, his power was PROVEN today, and if he gets Dimtrenko, Boystov, or Chambers next, he could possibly stand toe to toe with a 41 y/o Vitali Klitschko IMO.

Wlad, I dunno. But at what 25 y/o this kids got his game in fast forward. @ more years, and 3 more big fights, and methinks this kid is the next ruler.:deal

Given most would not consider either Klitchko great its going to be a long time coming before we get another great. There are none on imediate horizon.

Wished Simon Vallily went pro, maybe a bit late after 2012 but time will tell.

The days of the 6'2 202lb fence swinging hip bending HW are OVER. The fighters these days are better trained, and the euro.russian fighters are so disciplined.

The bigger HWs are going to dominate this sport and that makes the fights APPEAR boring because it is usually jab jab straight. Jab hook cross. Hug Hug Jab.
But when these big HWs start putting their punches together we see devastating Kos like we saw Helenius put on Peter.

Americans are spoiled. Since the best american boxers typically come from poor families, we won't ever see another dominant american HW. FOODSTAMPS, SEC 8 housing. These kids don't go hungry, and the other sports like football and basketball let the biggest guys out of the ghetto with gaurenteed money and less potential for injury.

The euros/russians are the finest we'll see again at HW, and Helenius is the NEXT big thing. Hungry, fit, and dedicated. Footwork and D is lacking, but he's young, and getting better with every fight.

    WAR Helenius.

Isn't he chinny? If I remember correctly he got starched quite a bit in the AM's.

Helenius keeps proving me wrong, I will admit that. I always think or predict him to get KTFO but prevails instead. BUT, his style is so unappealing to me. He looks so slow and sloppy, regardless of how effective he ends up being.

Also, I think a guy like Eddie Chambers would be a nightmare for him, possibly even stop him.

You think he has a better upside than Pulev?

What ever happened to Romanchuk? I heard he got out of prison but he had brain damage or something?

All BIG HW's tend to look sloppy, but when they start finding that target and sitting on them R hands, BOOOYAH KTFO.

I would LOVE to see Helenius vs Chambers. Matter of fact, I thinks it's a mandatory for Eddie as he was supposed to fight Peter in an eliminator for IBF.

Would be a barnburner for sure. :good

I was impressed with his KO win tonight, and the shots that put Peter down actually looked pretty quick and sharp, especially for Helenius. I just think he starts too slow and that would lead him to getting reckless with someone like Chambers, which could lead to a stoppage.

I was impressed with his chin too, but we have yet to see how he deals with a real quick handed heavy.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see this kid pan out, we need all the young talent we can find in the HW division, it's just that he always leaves me with a new question after all these wins.

Props to him though, the guy just keeps soldiering on, and is being moved pretty aggressively.:good

Glazkov, Helenius, Pulev are the best 3 HW's imo, they all have their strengths. Glazkov was the best amateur of the 3.

When he was in Prison during the trial they speculated that he would have permanant brain damage from getting shot in the head but he ended up recoverying fully.

He was going to compete in the 2010 Russian National Championships and got back into training but ended up pulling out because of the flu or something. Last i heard he was accused of shoplifting and trying to steal some gloves from a department store or something :?
