His style complements his shorter height. I think he has the right style to neutralize the long jab and height of many taller opponents. His chin and conditioning are still unknown and for his style and he will need both of these to be excellent.
I'm struggling to excited about any of them tbh. Watched Helenius in his last outing and it just looked like some euro level dust-up between two out of shape fighters to me. Once the VK's are off the scene it's a free for all really with no obvious leading light. Should lead to some good close match-ups but the level of boxing won't impress.
You mean you didn't enjoy the HWs of the 90s who constantly engaged in 12 round hugfests in 90% of their fights. Surely Lewis fans would disagree with your assessment of a high quality fight like Liakovich/Helenius.
I wholly agree....which is why I'd love to see him vs some of the chinnier big HWs, but how far can he go if he's to run into an ironchinned Welliver or Helenius, and like you said, he hasn't taken the big punches yet either.....but IMO his beard looks pretty solid from what we've seen.:thumbsup
Looks like the beard question is answered........he's a KO waiting to happen. Saulsberry, a crude, fat, featherfisted telgraphing tomatopureecan had him on ***** streetX2 in the first round.
Glazkov REALLY impresses me right now. He's still fighting bums, but that fat slob of an opponent in his last fight actually brought some serious heat for about 5 rounds, and Glazkov looked great dealing with him. He was calm, patient, balanced, and very powerful. Helenius is easily the most proven of the bunch, and IMO should be considered the #3 HW right now. Don't know anything about Pulev or Price, but obviously they both have strong supporters. Don't forget Deontay Wilder. A raw but explosive monster who could really make some noise with the right training & management. I think he's 27, so that's still kinda' young, for a HW.
Watch it. It was during an exchange but they got all tangled up. I would not call that a knock down. All the same, bad fight for Artur (even if he did get a second round stoppage) but I would not condemn him or his chin just yet. For starters, his opponent had all his wins by way of knock out plus weighed 60 more pounds than Artur, so calling him feather fisted is a stretch. Secondly, even if this was from a punch (which is questionable), Szpilka got up right away, looked unhurt and stopped the guy within the next minute. Like I said, we need to see more to form conclusions. If anything, instead of criticizing his chin I would say Artur looked a bit hotheaded and crude himself, especially at avoiding punches.
He beat Bakhtov, who is no bum . They tried to get him a fight with Peter. For whatever reason, Glazkov has had 6 figths scheduled and cancelled this year. Too bad.
