if Manny is still around in one year, But I am not sold on Alvarez, Honestly he struggled with Cotto a bit and was rocked by him as well...

Manny's biggest threat is from Mayweather and from other fighters at 154 that may or may not drop down.

What about Manny vs Williams (which will never happen, unless Williams drops down to 147 so that Roach can hope for a similar situation as Williams/Quintana)?

    Manny vs Martinez?

All 3 of these fighters make for much more interesting match ups than bringing Ortiz into the ring to get knocked out.

To be honest I don't think there is a Mexican on the planet right now who has a great chance to beat Pac. But if I had to come up with a top three and wish them a ton of luck before I send them out to the battlefield I'd pick these guys:

Angulo - He has the size and punching power to keep Pac honest
Alvarez - Has a suspect chin but has proven he can be a promising prospect. He seems motivated to take Pac out and you have to admire the passion.
Rios - If he beats the likes of Soto, JMM, and Ortiz within a year he could be even better than we think he is. And that might be good enough to beat Pac.

Somewhat of an honorable mention: JCC Jr. If he can fight tall and use slick boxing he might have a chance to pull off a close decision victory.

I don't think he is comfortable at light middle and the move down to welter is a good move.

he did recover well against Cotto, had him down in the 2nd and forced the stoppage in the 9th.

he's only 20 and that fight will serve him well

    Humberto Soto.

Pac has ducked Soto for more than 3 years, and has only handpicked Old Morales, Old barrera, semi-old Marquez and c-level boxers like Jorge Solis, hector velazquez, etc.

pac has also ducked Juan Diaz many times.

Pac is a fake "legend". A fraud that uses steroids, a now used plaster inserts to win his last fight, despite it being Fixed.
