The next hype job to get taken care of

Conor Benn is too small for welterweight and has no defence. When/if he ever steps up and faces a puncher, he will get knocked out.

it is always important to support your countrymen but a spade is a spade....

 

There shouldn't be a rule where you have to support a British fighter solely due to them sharing the same nationality.

Many other factors have to be taken into consideration.

 

I agree, there is no rule or duty to blindly follow any fighter but I think it's a little off for a Brit to come on the British forum and take pleasure in a British fighter getting beat or insult a British fighter.

 

Conor Benn and Yarde are the biggest clowns in boxing. I'd love to see them iced - sadly I think Yarde is the real deal.

So apparently it was Ohara Davies who broke Benn's jaw in sparring?

 

I think Ohara needs to go back to the drawing board a bit and maybe a change of trainer might do him good, the defeat certainly will. I thought he started off well with the jab and that unorthodox stance in the first couple of rounds. However, from the start of the third he then seemed to throw that approach out the window and tried to throw single, huge energy draining power shots that left him not only gassed but also vulnerable to the counter. It was a lack of discipline for me. He wasn't on Taylor's level but I feel he'd have had more success sticking to the jab and trying to take him into the later rounds. He went to pieces mentally imo and threw the game plan out the window.

 

It wouldn't have mattered what Davies did. Sticking to the jab would have been useless also. Taylors superior footwork meant he could outbox him outside and get in close real fast to soften him up head and body. Standing flat footed and jabbing wouldn't have done ****. Taylor is superior in every department. I reckon he could have ended the fight quicker tbh.

 

Is there really that much hype for him... Lets be honest he is being pushed and promoted by Sky and Eddie Hearn... but that is there job as he is one of there fighters... he is getting pushed because of his name... but the guy is only young with little experience so i wouldnt say he is really getting hype or pushed at any real speed.

Someone like Bautsi or Okolie they are getting hyped!

 

Don't go much on Conor benn at the minute tbh

 

Okolie will be exposed minute he steps up as well.
