    Former world champion Gavin Rees tops another star-studded line-up when Prizefighter returns.
    The one-time WBA boss will be joined by three former European champions and three former British title holders as the light-welterweights take centre stage in the strongest line-up yet.
    Rees will be joined by Ted Bami, Jason Cook and Colin Lynes, who have all held European belts at 140lbs, and domestic champions David Barnes, Barry Morrison and Young Mutley.
    The eight-strong line-up is completed by Lee 'Lights Out' Purdy who is the current Southern Area champion.
    They will battle it out for prize money of £32,000 at London's Olympia on November 4, live on Sky Sports.
    It is the first time the hugely-popular tournament has been held at light-welterweight and Matchroom Sport supremo Barry Hearn believes it will be even better than the recent heavyweight slugfest, won by Audley Harrison.
    "There were record crowds, record television ratings and a brilliant night's entertainment but all I can say is you ain't seen nothing yet!" said Hearn.
    "Our first ever light-welterweights Prizefighter brings together a field of competitors that would grace any top-line boxing promotion.
    "It's amazing to get all this talent in one room for one night's boxing and even more amazing when they're going to battle down to one champion on one night.
    "Prizefighter has been a breath of fresh air for professional boxing and I can't wait for December 4 at the National Hall, Olympia - and neither can the thousands of fight fans that are queuing for tickets."

    I've wanted to see Barnes v Lynes for a while. Shame it'll only be a three rounder.

    I want to see Barnes v McCloskey from a purist perspective too, so I'll be rooting for Barnes in the hope that that fight gets made.

    It had done, but the novelty is now back. Lots of big names in the last Heavyweight one, and big names in this one.

    I think Hearn realises he needs boxers like this to keep it going strong.

    It wore off for me ages ago, I thought the idea of this was to find good fighters that were hidden gems or whatever, not the washed up or never had it. First few times watched it with a few mates, we all had a little bet but now its just shite.

    Lynes would be the obvious betting favourite, but I'm not that sure he is so hungry anymore.

    He has mixed in better class than any of the guys he is competing against, going the full 12 in a close-ish fight with Witter five years ago, getting ripped off against Branco and almost beating M'Baye on about two days notice.

    Looked really good for him about 18 months/2 years ago, shame it's come to this.

    intresting the rees, a former world champ is not favourite.

    gotta fancy bami he has the expirience of prizefighter before getting to the final.
