This is target practice for Louis. That's nothing against Peter, who I actually used to root for back in the day. But Peter never really worked hard enough on learning the Sweet Science: no head movement, no lateral movement...very little movement at all

 

Louis KO5-8 no defense besides your chin is a death scentence.

 

Joe pounds Peter into paste. 2-3 rounds tops!

Look, I feel Peter has become under rated but that aside, baring a big shot early, this is a good match up for Louis.

 

Joe would REALLY go to Work on this fella . Imagine this fight in the old black and white days , Peter looking like he's heading to the electric chair ,as Joe hammers him unmercifully .

this post won't be well accepted on this board, but I just watched Sam Peter vs. Jeremy Williams and in IMO, both are much better than anybody I've seen Joe Louis fight. They are two quick, strong boxers with skills. And, Jeremy Williams is a heavyweight who weighed in at 226 for the fight with Peter and the commentator mentions that he looks like a Cruiserweight compared to Peter.

I know that you are just trying to stir the debate and that you know Peter is much better than Galento, but I wrote that Peter looks better than anybody I've seen Louis fight. If I had a good heavyweight and all of Louis's opponents and Sam Peter were the same age and I was offered a fight with Max Baer, Rocky Marciano, Max Schmeling, Joe Walcott, or Sam Peter, Peter is the last one I'd take. I don't think HOF, ATG, or Bert Sugar's opinion mean anything in a fight and from seeing all of them on video, Peter is the one of those five I'd avoid if possible.
