Do we agree that Michael Buffer is the undisputed no 1, and Jimmy Lennon JNR is no 2? Outside the big 2 who is next?
Who cares, do we really need some ponce making a fuss. I would rather the attention be on the actual fight
For me, Jimmy Lennon's voice is too thin, nasal and reedy. Granted, he's good at his job, but when you listen to him say, "It's Showtime!" right alongside Michael Buffer growling, "Llllllet's get ready to ruuuuumble!" there's a world of difference. Plus, the work he puts into his pronounciation of foreign names is unbelievable. He's excellent at what he does. In my mind, Michael Buffer is by far the best ring announcer I've ever seen.
:good When I think "professional" I think Lennon. When I think "holy **** this is going to be a great fight", I think Buffer. Which is ironic give some of the crap HBO has put on in recent years.
Jimmy Lennon is classy. Michael Buffer is epic..or at least he used to be until we heard him on every show. When I think low budget, I think of that dude who repeats every fighters name twice and stretches out the o part. Bruce Buffer is okay in small doses.
