Bingo. He seems so uncomfortable over here. He has no reason to be. He really should get a place in LA. Soon as he plants his feet here for any extended period of time he will take off.

I still think it's ridiculous he hasn't fought ince over here but oh well. I think the right plan is Whyte in April. Then Miller in NY or Vegas in end of summer. Miller is the perfect opponent to open with in America right before Wilder. He genuinely doesn't like Miller, Miller will sell the hell out of the fight and he isn't particularly a big threat to AJ.

Wilder can fight Fury. Maybe a rematch if it's a good fight. Then Brezeale is perfect before AJ. He will KO him badly. Brezeale is too slow.

It's nice to have a actual discussion thread without all the agenda bs, thanks CST.

    Agreed.

Can't be a coincidence that a certain individual hasn't commented in here yet.

Yes very strange, being that he's one of the most vocally biased about these fighters and their teams.

I think you hit on an unmentioned aspect of Joshua/Wilder comparison, the mental aspect. These two fighters couldn't be more different personality wise. Wilder seems comfortable in his own skin. Joshua strikes me as sullen and at times comes across angry.

That's the problem when a sports star is turned from being a human being into a product/brand. I don't hate Joshua (because we don't really know the real him) but I hate the way Matchroom have manufactured him and his personality.

Given that @CST80 is obviously Pro Wilder (or anti Joshua) going off previous posts , his OP was a fair and decent read.

Joshua has more tools with which to beat Wilder. Wilder is too clumsy which is why he will lose. Great right hand but as I say, too clumsy.

Lets hope that they fight a classic trilogy. UK, USA, Neutral.

Ok breakdown of the respective careers thus far, more balanced than most on here.

I feel that someone needs to stick up for AJ a bit though, he gets soooo much stick on here for what I see as f-all.

    His style is robotic....
Well, he's greater than the sum of his parts in my view and his skills are well balanced and subtle, with nothing being outsized save his brute strength.

    He's fake and corporate....
The guy is maximising his marketability and doing a fantastic job at it. Heading for levels of fame not seen since Mike Tyson and a Wilder victory would seal seal it in my view (should he get past Fury). He's a boxer FFS not an artist.

    He's Hearn's bum boy....
He employs Hearn and imo is building a formidable brand and following. He's simply earning vastly more than his rivals and that's not fluke, it's hard work and savvy.

    He fights bums....
Well, he is fighting opponents regularly and has the best resume of the division so regardless of whether you crap on his record or not, it's at least the best of a bad bunch. The argument of fighting bums applies least to AJ.

Everyone wants a pop at the champ, I understand, but the hypocrisy and straw-clutching of some here is truly embarrassing.
Let's just hope for decent fights and that the current HWs all fight each other, something that hasn't happened since the 90s.

I need to update this. That's one of the few problems with writing these articles. They keep fighting and racking up new opponents.
