Did Jack Dempsey ever face an equal before Fitzsimmons?

Boxing includes many components. I don't consider Fitz equal to Dempsey in boxing skills. If you are asking about good opponents in general, Mike Donovan was a middleweight champ.

Did Dempsey face a person equal to himself in boxing skill before Fitzsimmons?

Nonpareil means no equal, an explanation for our Russian audience.

As I said, I don't think Fitzsimmons was equal in boxing skills to Dempsey. He was bigger, stronger, and faced a washed-up Dempsey, that's why he won.

Give me some views prior to Fitzsimmons then. The whole point of the post......

The word prior means before. Just thought I'd point that little fact out to those lacking in English ability.

Thanks for translation. Why don't you give a couple of names of fighters who held the alias 'Nonpareil' before Jack Dempsey?

Point blank... I don't like you Senya, never have. You are more of a disruption than anything else. I'm more than happy to translate anything you need translated:) Seems clear you need help!

I would thank you if you'd find it fit to not reply to my posts in the future. It's fairly obvious I've little use for you, or your insight.... so what's the point?

And I'll be happy if you never again speak about fighters or a country you have zero knowledge about.

Oh, I know quite a lot about Russia.. trust me :)

When you have a contribution to a question, I'll be happy to read it. Let's stop this, this, whatever it is, shall we?

It's not getting you out of the third world, and it certainly means nothing to me.. so what's the point?

You know so much about it, that you can't remember any names of Russian boxers who were champs recently, except for some heavyweights.
Yes, lets leave it at this. As by the time Dempsey faced Fitz he was nonpareil no more, having been beaten already.

Why don't you give a link to your best (in your opinion) post on this forum, maybe at least it contains something interesting and new?
