That's an acceptable attitude, but you can't dedicate your entire career solely to those two ends then claim to be an ATG. Floyd has been in a position to fight anyone in several weight divisions for years, including the other great fighter of his generation, but his career is more about who he didn't fight. His skills are obviously ATG. His warrior spirit, not so much. If boxing was full of Floyds it would have died a death decades ago no matter how skilled they are.

this is why dudes that can't box but are exciting like Rios get extremely overrated for a win in a very exciting fight vs a C level plodder, funny how all of a sudden people forget that he just lost 11 of 12 rounds to an unknown in his previous fight and based on his exciting win they overrate him to the point of picking him over the king of the division in Garcia. These idiots never learn, they get a hard on for anyone that blocks punches with his face and throws a million hayemakers and overhype them until they inevitably get schooled by someone that can box.

the object of boxing is to win by any means, to hit and not get hit back just happens to be the most effective way of doing this for the athletic type but some dudes don't have the gifts to pull it off and are still able to be great by using what they have in the best way possible. EI chin and power etc....but when it comes to the elite level a great boxer wins 8 times out of 10.

I don't think there is a single fighter that stands above all fighters that have ever fought, simply because of styles. One might break it down in catogories like goat of brawlers, goat of boxers, etc. I must admit however that Floyd Mayweather is a master boxer and true artist in this boxing game and he dont take a backseat to any fighter in that catorgory. Its not like he hasn't been hit. Mosley rocked him and got his ass beat down for his efforts. Juda rocked him and got totally embarrased. Hatton stumbled him and knocked the **** out.Even Cotto buzzed him and was a round away from getting his ass knocked out. Gatti, the original rock em sock em robot got his ass waxed. Diego was a knockout artist utill he met Money and got knocked out. I could go on but it will be the same thing, asses get beat, embarrassed, and knocked out. All world class fighters. You can say he's not best but the best dont **** with him.:bbb
