I took Ribalta light and under estimated him. I should have got in better shape and train harder

I am going to make a number of videos on the overhand, the true secret is keeping the right elbow close and twisting your body but I will get in more detail in my videos.

Actually it wasn't a punch but size. The shorter fighters gave me the most trouble . My overhand was more difficult to deploy against them

Very good question! He would make me stand like I was doing in video and have another fighter throw punches and I would rubber neck.. We would add more movements with rubber neck drill He always demonstrated and lead by example with drills.

Thanks! I really appreciate your taking the time to answer in depth. It's neat to see you giving these old school techniques to a wider audience through YouTube.

I really don't know much about him to be honest. What I do know is he had a good jab but he lost to lesser guys than Tyson. I was actually suppose to fight him. I think I would have beaten him

They were much fitter and much tougher than we were in my days and even modern times. They lacked the skill we had but they could go 50 rounds!!!! They were way stronger and had super human endurance

Thanks for the response, Tim. I have no doubt that you would have easily handled him at his best. Hope you are doing well. Really enjoy your youtube channel.

I love this, this is why I believe Lewis ‘struggled’ (trying to use that a loosely as possible) with Holyfield in the second fight and Mercer, as well as a big reason why I believe Frazier would have been a nightmare for Larry. People like Larry and Lewis were used to fighting big guys, nice juicy targets for their fantastic jabs to land and find their rhythm. If you shrink that target down and suddenly the jab isn’t doing much, you’re hitting a lot more air, exerting more energy etc.

I'm sure you would have champ. It would have been a great HW brawl for sure.
