I've never seen some of these fights. I'll give it a try tomorrow. Which one is it gonna be tomorrow? Still this one? Mercer vs Lewis?

Np. Still today Lewis-Mercer. Hopefully get some more scoring.

    Tomorrow will probably be

    Burton-Augustus or Holyfield - Valuev or Whitiker-Chavez

I was at that fight. I had Lewis barely winning by one round. It was a great fight, but Lewis bitching to Steward to complain to the ref all the time really annoyed me. It was at this time that Lewis became a real fighter, and it never happened again. Lewis got his education in the form of an asswhooping that night, but he showed championship stuff fighting through it, and luckily coming out with the W.

This is one of those cards that I know my scoring off by heart, actually.

    1 Mercer
    2 Lewis
    3 Mercer
    4 Lewis
    5 Lewis
    6 Mercer
    7 Lewis
    8 Lewis
    9 Lewis
    10 Mercer

    96-94 Lewis.

Round 4 in particular is a must-watch for any fan of the sport.

Much like the Holyfield loss, Mercer had a big chance to win this and just couldn't quite go that extra mile. You could credit Holy and Lewis of course, and we should, but it would've only taken 10% more from Ray to have two huge wins on his record.

That Mercer could have massive difficulties with Jesse Fergsuon, be totally befuddled by old Holmes and given a bit of a gift against Marion Wilson just goes to show you what a hot and cold kind of career Mercer had.

    4 Mercer
    5 Lewis
    6 Mercer
    7 Lewis
    8 Lewis
    9 Lewis
    10 Mercer

    96 - 94 for Lewis

Just a few points... This was the first time I've seen the fight in whole, although I'd heard different opinions on the scoring I've never seen the offical scores until today. I watched round 10 a few times before making my mind up on the winner. Great fight.

Make that Ayala Tapia II. When ever you get a chance. The 2nd fight was really good.

I don't know either, I'd quite like to know. Some kind of commission ruling or something?

I do know that Don King managed to get his way with the ring and made it a 16 x 16 one. Real small...standard is 20 x 20.

I believe...may be wrong here but all non title fights and #1 contender bouts are 10 rounds. Only when it's an approved "specialty bout" may it be 12 rounds.
