    Hmmm, dunno about a KO.

My pick would be Jones by UD, something in the likes of 116-112 or 117-111. I believe Joe would give him a tough fight.

Roy should have never taken this fight now because you have fools questioning Roy's skills when he was in his prime.

Because Calzaghe will never get away with coming in or staying in front of Roy(in his prime) with his hands down and not get fininshed off.

Glenn Johnson beat Roy even worse 4 years ago. Is a prime for prime matchup between the two of them 50/50 as well?

I'm mind-boggled as to why anyone thinks this fight means anything when Roy holds almost none of the same attributes or abilities he used to.

RJJ by domination. Calzaghe in his prime struggled with Ashira so I dont see how he could live with Superman.

He dropped Joe with a right. It looked much worse than what Hopkins did, but Joe came back. A prime Jones would have hurt him right there and then, but I have much respect for Joe's abilities and mental strength of not losing to anyone. Hopkins and Joe are aging much better than Jones. I don't have an answer for Joe's speed at his age, but Jones speed has slowed a bit, but more importantly, his reflexes are shot. I feel that Jones would have taken a UD not a KO.

He boxed with one hand from the 2nd round onwards, broke his hand in this fight and was laid off after.

Also, it was a wide wide UD.

I've never been more irritated in my ESB career than in the last few days. The idiocy has been running rampant. MexicanJew is no idiot, but I feel he's in the wrong here.

Indeed, MJ is a good poster. People can be wrong even if they have good knowledge.

But to suggest that Jones vs Calzaghe would look in anyway simliar to that farce of a fight that took place is a joke frankly.

The Jones that fought Calzaghe is nothing compared to the Jones that fought in the 90's. It is horrifying!

I am waiting to see a thread( not started by RedRooster) going on about how Camacho would have handled Leonard at his best, it amounts to the same thing.

    What a joke!

Camacho vs SRL is a good comparison to this fight. RJJ is in the same boat as SRL was back then. He just does not want to let go. I won't be surprised if RJJ comments that he wants to have a farewell fight before he calls it a career. By the way, I went to that fight with Camacho vs SRL. Alot of fans were shocked and a friend of mine who is Hagler's nephew lost money to Camacho's family who were sitting in front of us. It was a great time.

I also find it funny that all the calzaghe haters seem to think roy dropped joe with a punch, fore arm or wrist shot to the face more like.
It is quite obvious that the fight has no real bearing on a prime for prime sense other than the fact that roy had no real clue what to do against joe.
In his prime roy had a mix of speed and power that should be able to counter almot all of joes main attributes but this doesn't mean he would have a great chance of stopping joe.
I would give a prime for prime fight 60-40 to jones.
