    I like Bute, and I enjoyed the english interview he gave us.....but it does not change facts......1. he has not fought anyone really so he is 4th best super middleweight in the world, and 2. Adonis Stevenson will knock him out within the first 2 rounds....it's inevitable

    Who has Stevenson ever fought? A 16-15 fighter knocked Stevenson out in 2 rounds.

    It seems Rumsfeld and Boxing girl are so afraid to see Ward face Bute they want another fighter do the job for their favourite.


    BTW, what is your prediction for the Froch-Bute fight?

    Bute is grossly overrated....he fights only other fighters left overs....Adonis is fresh, and will wipe the floor with Bute.

    Agreed. Notice how he goes after Froch only AFTER Froch was thoroughly outclassed by Ward, which happened to come after Froch had fought one difficult foe after another over the past several years.

    Even still, 'The Cobra' is fired up for this one and I believe he will prove too much for Bute. So Adonis will probably never get the opportunity.

    Incidentally BG, on an unrelated note, do you remember when Froch once said to us that he would "rather watch Desperate Housewives" than see the Bute vs. Brinkley fight?

    After he beats Froch, and considering Ward confirmed he wouldn't be fighting in June, people around the boxing world will be interviewing Bute a lot.

    It'd be easy to report this thread to David Messier, PR exec over at Interbox, through Facebook. Not that you guys will actually want an interview with Bute after he dominates Froch...

    In all seriousness, given the Feb 2013 deadline for Bute to sign his next mandatory to a fight, Ward-Bute has to happen next. It might only be for the WBA-IBF titles since Ward is reportedly refusing to fight his friend and mandatory opponent Dirrell.......

    ...which paves the way for Dirrell-Stevenson [sanctioned for the vacant WBC title] to land in the same timeframe Ward and Bute would be fighting, as forecasted in a thread I made today. Ward-Bute would pay up for the Diamond strap, it meets the criteria they established for it.

    Of course the fact that Bute agreed to fight Froch in 2007 in an IBF eliminator with Froch choosing the go the longer WBC route, must be swept under the carpet.

    You could then say that Ward went after Kessler AFTER Kessler was thoroughly outclassed by Calzaghe, that he went after Green AFTER Green was thoroughly outclassed by Miranda, that he went after Bika AFTER Bika was thoroughly outclassed by Bute, that he went after Abraham AFTER Abraham was thoroughly outclassed by Froch and that he went after Froch AFTER Froch was, well, beaten by Kessler.
