His performance against Arthur is one of the most under-appreciated performances of the last 10 years. He clowned a guy who was supposed to devastate him, and who hadn't really ever come close to losing and who was practically favorite to win the whole tournament. Now nobody even talks about Dirrell, they just say he acted to get out of a fight....a fight he was winning easily.

Meh. if someone had watched the JT vs Abraham fight, Taylor won 4 rounds just sticking a noncommitted jab out there and was afraid to throw the right hand. Thats a Taylor that can only move forward and backwards. Dirrell is all around the ring. It was almost too easy to see how the fight was gonna go.

Nobody is trying to sway your opinion...Not my intent at all but you're talking out of your ass now...Please explain to me how Cintron and Dirrell's incident are remotely the same...Correct me if I'm wrong but wasnt Dirrell hit by an illegal punch where as Cintron fell out of the ring...So please tell me who can you possiblily tie these two scenerios together when its clear as day that its not.

Again, nobody is trying to change your opinion but you're talking non-sense! Its has **** all to do with nationalitites!:-(

The general consensus was that Dirrell was going to get stomped.

A cross between a highly talented boxer and a prat-falling circus clown.

Among casuals, critics, and ESB, the consensus was that Dirrell was going to get stomped.

Dirrell has top level talent, but that does not mean he has the top level intelligence needed to maximize that talent. right now he's sort of like a polished devin alexander. but if he gets his head all the way right, he beats anyone in his weight class, and most of them easily. and his defense could use some polishing as well. but he's a good fighter, i hope he makes it to being a great one.

ummm, i think its vise-versa'd imo....

i think everyone treats him like he was some giant killer who was invincible. To me, technically it was a style mismatch and i'd believe AA's management would NEVER match AA up with Dirrell outside this tournament that forcibly does that.

I do believe that Dirrell IS an A-class boxer, but his win over AA was not a surprise to me. He did EXACTLY what he needed to do to break down a fundamentally flawed puncher. Any decent boxing analyst can figure out how to break down AA.

Dirrell was the first one to expose AA's fatal flaws, thats all. I think if he keeps up infight discipline, he's got a good chance to defeat everyone BUT Ward. Ward is simply in another class altogether - plain and simple.
