Ward's been planning on moving to 175 anyway. It wouldn't have been long for him to have moved up and challenged for his title. He'd have been better off doing that.

And this thing about Dawson "wanting" to come down, doesn't really hold up. Sure, he called him out post-Hopkins, but when in proper negotiations, he asked for a 170 catchweight. If he was comfortable with and "wanted" it at 168, he wouldn't hae tried to meet in the middle.

Ward has given critics ammunition. If he was that sure in his abilitys (Don't get me wrong, I think he wins this fight) then he'd of either settled for 170, or moved to 175, where he'll be going anyways. He'd also of fought Dawson at a neutral venue. Then, Ward would have a victory which announces him as a top P4P star to the masses.

Sometimes boxing fans can be the most unlogical people ever. Dawson said he'd come down to 168 when he first called ward out and has since said it isnt a problem multiple times. And where else would you have the fight be ? in a half empty casino in the desert or infront of 50 ppl in connecticut ? LOL

Why you think bailey/alexander just got called off ? a back injury a week out ? please, its because the fight wasnt selling tickets because the dumb **** bailey wouldnt go to the only place that will sell tickets st louis

Neutral venue great idea like where ???

And ward didnt call dawson out did he ? he had no intention to move up to 168 or he would have done that. its a bit shamefull for so called fans to not be giving dawson **** after calling out a guy the division below him and then expecting him to move up. but yet you give ward **** for accepting to fight the bigger guy who called him out :-(

To my knowledge Ward as no immediate plans to move up to light heavy. We get a great match-up and all some people can do is complain about it

    Typical assholes.

The thing ive learned from being on this forum is that fans will find something to criticize about every fight and every fighter there ever was or ever will be period.

Dawson moves down to 168 to fight ward then Wards a ***** who should move up. Ward moves up to 175 to fight Dawson then Dawsons a ***** for not coming down to a catchweight. if its a catchweight fight then catchweights are stupid and ruin the sport. bla bla bla ****s are never happy

 What type of ******ed logic is this? maybe you wern't aware but Dawson doesn't have pull power that makes other fighters want to fight him, he had to sacrifice his body for a chance to get one of the big names in Ward or else the fight wouldn't have happened as Ward wouldn't even accept a 170lb catchweight or a neutral venue :-(

Dawson is challenging the champion. He doesn't call the shots. He wanted it , he got it. Whats so difficult for you to understand?

He's not a champion at SMW therefore he has no bargaining chips.
