Is likely to be fighting for the Irish title on the undercard should he beat McDermott. Colin Kenna is the most likely opponent, he'll be cheap to get, is eligible to fight for the title(Irish obviously, an has fought an 8 rounder which are the requirements), plus he's fought plenty of name guys and shouldn't pose too much of a threat after what could be a tough fight for Fury a couple of weeks beforehand.

Card looks something like this at the moment:
    Bernard Dunne v Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym-WBA Super-Bantamweight title
Andy Murray v Pasquale Silvio-EU Lightweight title
Tyson Fury v TBA-Irish Heavyweight title
Patrick Hyland v TBA-8 rounds Featherweight
Oisín ***an v TBA-6 rounds Lightweight

Maybe Jamie Power v TBA-would be 6 rounder at Light-Heavyweight

Hopefully Power will be added and one more fight with it.

**** me, look at that card! We've got a lot to learn from the Irish chaps across the water about undercards:shock:. I will definately be watching on RTE:good. Really looking forward to this one. One question, if Fury loses to McDermott (I did say if), surely he can still fight for the Irish title anyway? (Unless he's smashed up but in just thinking that we're enetering the realms of the surreal)

I saw the undercard pal and the tickets started at 50 euro not 130 so stop whining like a *****. If you don't like it, don't spend the money on it.

If Fury loses on points, then he could still fight for the Irish title.
If he was stopped he'd be on medical suspension and therefore ineligible.
But would his camp really want him to fight 2 weeks after his first loss if he did lose to McDermott ?, maybe they would but it's quite possible they'd withdraw if he lost.

If you think that's a good card it still doesn't match up to the last Dunne card:

    Bernard Dunne v Ricardo Cordoba-WBA Super-Bantamweight title
Andy Lee v Alexander Sipos-10 rounds Middleweight
Andy Murray v Daniel Rasilla-EU Lightweight title
Jim Rock v Alessio Furlan-10 rounds Middleweight
Michael Kelly v Valentins Morozovs-4 rounds Lightweight
Anthony Fitzgerald v Janis Chernouskis-4 rounds Middleweight

    + amateur: Paddy Barnes(Olympic Bronze medalist) v ???
    Ray Moylette(World Junior Gold medalist) v ???
Katie Taylor(multiple time World and European champ) v Caroline Barry(3 time Pan-Am champ)

Kenny Egan(Olympic Silver medalist and European Bronze medalist) was also meant to be on the card but he went AWOL.

Oh yeah, of course it's a given if he's KO'd, I was just wondering if there had been a concrete decision if he loses to McDermott that he won't be fighting for the Irish title either way.

I really need to watch a card in Ireland one day. When there were rumours of Izzy-Dunne I was as good as at the ticket office. The atmosphere looks something else at fights in Ireland. I can only imagine what a fight at Croke Park or Lansdown Road would be like:shock::good.

I got my ticket on the day of release months before the fight weeks before the undercard was announced. I would have paid more best fight I've ever ben to , but that doesnt take away from the fact that the undercard was poor. Get over it mate. I have.

Could have sworn egan being on the bill with barnes and taylor was advertised before the tickets went onsale

if you want to talk about a poor undercard try going to a frank maloney show

this year ive been to about 14 shows. Personally id rate the dunne undercard as above average but not in the top 5

He's fine now Robert, it was mostly dehydration and exhaustion that had him in that state. He was interviewed a while back and said he would like to come back to Ireland for a rematch.
