It does seem depending on how much boxing there is, the whole forum goes from "Boxnation is ****" to "Boxnation is great" in the space of a week or 2.
I know everybody gives it some stick but I think that's because it belongs to allegedly. But I'm pleased I am a subscriber, we all spend far more than £10 a month on crap each month and we actually get some decent boxing on the channel most weeks.
As long as they pick up a decent fight from abroad every week and have a few homegrown fights thrown in there it's well worth the money, especially this month,
They will. So it's important that Boxnation offer something different over the 'lean' months. Mr Honest Rabbit Home must have a huge archive of fights, and although he has started to show a few lately, they need to broadcast some real classics during the times there is no live boxing. Some of the documentaries BN have broadcast (Billy Walker, Joe Bugner) have been really good; more of these would be great, for me a couple of decent documentaries a week is worth the £2.50!
They done a smart thing by getting people to sign up for 6 months contract at least when they originally signed up. Saying that how many people will continue to stay with them after the 6 months is the big question. I think they will lose a lot of viewers over the next few months. They have no fighters they can push and I expect a lot of FWanks fighters to walk out and move back to Sky. Showing the German and US fights is good. There numbers should be ok for the Money fight you would expect. But they wont get anywhere near the numbers of Sky for any of there Moneys fights in the past. I honestly cant see Boxnation lasting in 2 years time. I would garantee they will be start to do PPV fights on it to get more money out of there customers. We all know how FWank loves a PPV fight and this will happen sooner rather than latter.
I have always had the option month to month and the only month I didn't subscribe was when I threw my toys out the pram over Franks matchmaking with Cleverly, after a week or two I started to miss boxnation, which no doubt a lot of other people would if they done the same. Block out Franks involvement and it's a good deal.
tbh at 10 quid a week and the amount of subscribers he has i really dont know how he is payng for the big cards like this mayweather one and past ones, eiter he is breaking into his savings or the price is looking to go up sooner or later.
or he probably has some really wealthy partners in the channel, i doubt he would break in francis and george's inheritance.
