    Ripped Nichols is like Midget Valuev, or Aggressive Floyd. It would be inconceivable and you would be taking away the basis of his whole style. He's a slick boxing carnival Fatman. He floats like a butterfly, stings like a big fat queen bee who ate all the honey and probaby half the honeycomb.

    We would've seen it already if Donkey had the stones to stop hiding in the darkest corner of the chicken coop and gave Nichols the rematch he promised him.

    If Wilder beats Joshua does it make Nichols finally a legend? I'm sure Nichols would become as famous as Henry Cooper and Chuck Wepner. Possibly own documentary for Nichols who dropped the undefeated and unified heavyweight champion of the world.

    It was on July 3rd 2010, at Club Palace, Mississippi, this deserves it's own thread.

    Absolutely epic bout with Wilder climbing off the canvas after a lethal check-jab from Nichols, to stop the big man in controversial fashion.

    Truly a great story about overcoming adversity. Even after a heavy knockdown young Deontay had the will to get up and survive until the end of the round to get a shady doctor stoppage.

    Love watching that fight.

    Nichols lures wilder in and unleashes a pinpoint check jab which sends the future champ sprawling to the canvas, later on Wilder throws the kitchen sink at nichols who eats wilders best shots like cream puffs.

    The ref then waves his arms as a bemused nichols looks on and shrugs his enormous shoulders

    And on that day a legend was born.
