    Sobers was the greatest all rounder ever, followed by Hadlee.

    Botham was a party piece from about 1988 onwards, living on reputation only. From about 1978 to 1984 he was the bollocks.

    Imran was a solid cricketer, but used his personality (i.e. his charisma and undoubted intelligence) to further his career, a bit like Will Carling if you like. A decent batsman with a record padded by not-outs, and a decent bowler with a deceiving record, always bringing himself on to knock over 9, 10 & 11 cheaply.

    A lot of people don't really appreciate great limited overs play, but I do - clearly you do also :good

    Imran was a great captain too..how many great Pakistani captains have their been? They are a volatile bunch.

    Imran as a package is still pretty unbelievable.

    Yeah he did, no matter who he was batting with.

    Australia vs England 2003 World Cup is a classic, batting with Andy Bichel - a bit of a Graeme Swann type batter.

    It sounds simple chasing 140 off 20 overs, three or four singles per over, looking for twos and putting the bad one away, but nobody has quite managed to do it as well (or anywhere near as consistently) as he did - Hussey is the closest I can think of.

    Handy bowler as well..... shame he never cracked it at Test level, his weakness to the short stuff was his downfall.
