A friend of mine showed me this very fight this morning, has it been doing the rounds or something?
Firstly let me say that theres 2 sets of people that should be held accountable here.
Firstly, who trains this kid? Whoever it is should be ashamed of himself.
Secondly and most importantly, how did he get licensed?
Whichever state licensed him need to seriously look at their assesment programmes, the book does stop with them. If he hasn't got an amateur med card to show he has experience then he should of undergone a strict assesment

That kid would never get a license in the uk at least the bbbc are keen with newcomers,both fighters and trainers.
You can't blame the kid himself imo

Thanks bud. Hopefully it’ll be a fun thread. I seen this video on boxing news website, proper made me chuckle. I totally agree i’m stunned he got a boxing license. He didn’t have a cornerman or anyone representing him, he’s clearly a chancer. He did have some speed though haha. My favourite bit was the Eubank type walk he goes on (1 min in).

 

Will we ever look back on Paul smiths career and conclude that he was actually far better than he got credit for?

Good idea, especially since the other/non-boxing subforum was removed. Could prevent a lot of threads going off topic and provide an outlet for more loose and light discourse.

 

I know exactly what you mean. I'm referring to the PS2 version of KK2001 which had much better graphics than the PS1. The controls were weird, but once you got used to it, it was fun and realistic. Like how you could throw combos and stuff. But yeah the punches looked real enough but the impact was lacking.

Problem with KK2001 on PS2 was you couldn't really use upper body movement realistically to avoid punches, like you didn't have enough control over your fighter, and it didn't look convincing. The blocking was OK but getting out of the way of punches was pretty much non-existent. But yes KK2001 on PS2 the graphics especially the player models and fighter likenesses were actually really good. It also had a pretty solid roster.

 

Round 4 before people found out how to cheat..lol The game was solid and you had to string your own combos and block high and low.. In Champion you hold block for both and just push up on the stick for an auto 1-2...
