I WANT to believe Golota can beat Peter. But man I just can't see it happening. As you said earlier, there are only 2 guys in the division Golota needed to stay clear of, and Golota chooses to fight one of them.

    :patsch

However, apparently Golota is confident enough in himself to agree in taking this fight. He certainly didn't have to and this may tell us something. According to the recent training photos and Joecool, he looks to be in awesome shape. Peter is NOT a great boxer. If Golota can make it past the first few rounds, his chances will improve drastically, as Peter tends to fade late.

I'm not even sure I can bring myself to watch.....:yikes :yikes :yikes

    GO GOLOTA!

Everything you say is true....the big question?

Can Golota make it to the start of round 3 without getting tagged?

    Of course he can!

    GO GOLOTA!!

    :hh :hh :hh

Yeah, Golota and MAB have been two of my favorite fighters for a long time...

Sadly, I suspect they both may suffer career-ending losses, but either way, I'll be tuned in and hoping that some how, some way, MAB and Golota are both victorious!

    GO MAB!! GO GOLOTA!!!

    Where is joecool?

    Is Golota-Peter 100%????

I know joecool's word is like gospel and that he usually breaks the news before it is brokend, but I'm still seeing nothing on this aside from the ESPN article which states Golota is the most likely replacement.

I don’t know…I kinda have a feeling like Golota knows something we don’t. I think he’s gonna show up mentally. He didn’t have to take this fight and it could have easily gone to a handful of other fighters. He knows he cannot waste anymore time. He came out of NOWHERE in 2004 to school Byrd and I’m thinking there is a good chance he can pull the upset. As others said, as long as he survives the early going …he could easily outbox Peter. I just hope he has learned a lesson from his previous robberies and turns it up in the later rounds because I could see him being robbed yet again. Sam Peter can take one hell of punch though….if Golota can withstand Peters onslaught, I see this one going to the cards.

I hope that Golota comes out with gunz'a'blazin!!

What I mean is, at the opening bell, he should charge Peter and unleash a four-punch combo to the balls, just to show Peter who's boss.

:lol::lol: Thats not a bad idea....he wouldn't be DQ'd if it was the first 4 punches he throws in the fight. Might get a point deduction but he'd get Peter on the defensive!

Peter has balls, but it takes a lot of balls to hit in the balls. And even if Golota does get DQ'ed, he wouldn't retire. So the name of the event should be "Final Run for Balls".

Sam Peter is making a HUGE mistake!!

    :good

joecool, is Golota as ready for this as he'll ever be? Has he seen flaws in Peter that he believes he can exploit?

For the love of God--make sure he's properly warmed up and ready for Peter to swarm him!
