Sat 1st row section 12 behind media people. Showed up late and missed half the fight. This is because we thought Golota would have fought later in the night. Later Golota came out to the fans and was sitting a few rows behind us in the same section. Later on, out of nowhere, he came walking out of of the front of the media section. I yelled "Andrew!" and my brother got a chance to tap knuckles.

Golota did one thing he never did before in this fight when hurt in the 1st round......he held on and bought time till he recovered! If only his mind was right years ago the way it is now.

I like Golota's chances against Chagaev or Ibragimov, neither of whom i anything special.

Whether Golota wins a title will largely depend on which titlist he gets a crack at. Obviously, a fight against Wlad, at this point, would end badly for Golota, but he can take Chagaev, Ibragimov, or Maskaev. He may even have a shot against Peter, who looked like **** last night.

    GO GOLOTA!!

That was an early stoppage and the fight came to an unsatisfactory end, because there's still questions as to whether Golota can currently compete on a higher level. In this fight, he was just a touch more refined with those left hand jabs, then the abomidable and ackward McBride. He requires more warm-ups before he fights any of the champions. Meehan and Briggs should be good measuring sticks on whether he can compete for a strap. If he gets his fifth title shot, based on this mediocre performance against a mediocre fighter, boxing's HW division is lost beyond hope.

Ibragimov would be easiest opponent for Andrzej. Chagaev maybe to fast

I've seen both of them fight and was rather unimpressed.

Chagaev looked mediocre in his controversial win against Valuev, and Ibragimov didn't look like anything special in his bout with Briggs.

Plus, disregarding the dubious decisions in both bouts, Golota looked better against Ruiz than Chagaev did.

He'd have a good chance against either.

Next fight will be with another NA champ. Meehan (north america boxing organization champ) or Michael Moorer (WBA north america champ). 99% Meehan.

So after Golota become Unified North America champ, who will be the next target in January?
Briggs for the Wlad voluntary defense or any other direct title shot?

    When will this be, joecool?

Both Moorer and Meehan would be good opponents.

    1. Chagaev-Valuev was not controversial.
    2. Chagaev-Ruiz was not controversial. The judge who scored in favour of Ruiz didn't watch the fight.
