They play the Giants in two weeks, right?

The Cowboys are, in my view, a better team than the Giants, but that should be a great game.

    The Jets suck!

He's also not the fastest of starters, so I think Golota would make it long enough to overcome his early anxieties and get into a rhythm.

I can see Golota having a chance at busting Vitali's face up and winning on cuts or late stoppage.

I know they have a bi next week and I believe they play the Giants after that. They are definitely the league's 'don't call it a comeback' with all of their second half rallying. Tony Romo seems like he might be a somebody as long as his butter fingers are not holding for the field goal kicker. :patsch

    The Jets....:rofl

Hey, don't hate just because the Cowboys are considered to be "America's team". :D I'm sure I'll place a bet on this one, a friend of mine and I have been battling Vegas style all season. So far I'm up 5 bucks. :happy I think I'll go big on this one and bet for 'The Boys'. :deal

See you in Nov. Jets and buckle up.

Well, starting off 0-2 could have been the best thing to happen to them. I heard one of the players say now they approach each game like they are 0-2.
2 critical areas in football to have a winning them (don't want to say Championship Team...yet). Must have a running game & a dominant DEFENSE. With Jacobs, Ward & Droughns, it looks like they've craeted a 3 headed monster. Now for the even better part...

I wouldn't want to be a opposing teams QB.:-( And these guys are having FUN out there, which means they're loose & have bought into D Coordinator Spagnola's scheme.

As far as last year, it was injuries that destroyed the 6-2 start. IF they stay injury free, the skies the limit.

Do you know who the play in the seasons final game?

The New England Patriots. But letst not get ahead of ourselves. The Dophins are next in London, then a bye & then the showdonw with Dallas.

    (((((((((((((((GO GIANTS))))))))))))))

True on Vitali being a fairly slow starter. I definitely would not be pulling my hair out in that first round, he's pretty methodical and robotic. Vitali has a very solid chin and he's awkward. I think it would be a good fight but I always had a hard time seeing Golota beating Vitali, I thought he had a much better chance vs Wlad (catching him early Grant style) but then Wlad got much better and Lurch couldn't keep from injurying himself if he had to open up a jar of peanut butter.

This would be a huge fight but I think Golota should take an easier path by beating guys like Meehan, Moorer, Briggs etc and let King sprinkle his magic.

    Exactly!!!

There was a time when Golota was better suited to face Vitali but that time has passed. This ISN'T the same Vitali who fought Lennox Lewis or Kentucky Fried Kirk.

We don't even know if Vitali has anything left, and frankly, I do like Golota's chances against him.

See, in a weird way, I'm more scared of what Briggs could do to Golota in the opening round than of Vitali.

Giants historically play really crappy (and usually lose) the game after the buy which they CAN'T afford to do so this year against Dallas. But if they pull away with that victory, their confidence is going to be at an all time HIGH, and they will be hard to beat after that.

    G-MEN has a new meaning........

    GO Giants and Golota!

Unfortunately, things aren't as good for North Jersey's Golota/Jets combo!

And that's the thing, we don't know what Vitali will show up to face Golota. Vitali's time off will have worked for him or against him. But the fact that he recently had to pull out of yet ANOTHER (how many is that now??) fight due to an injury may be a pretty good indication that Lurch's robotic frame has had enough and is in need of new parts, like an entire torso job. Lurch's body is the equivalent to a Dodge Neon clunker, out of service broken down piece of ****.

However if Vitali somehow miraculously shows up healthy, our guy Golota could be in for a long night. Either way, I believe it'd be a good fight.

You're right about Briggs. If Golota gets past the first round, Briggs will be beat into submission if he doesn't pass out first, the air is thin for Sha-nay-nay. :rofl

This is true, but Golota and Vitali do a lot of the same things. Vitali may carry more pop in his punches (debatable) but I believe Golota has quicker hands. Additionally, I believe Golota is a better combination puncher and better at working the body.

That said, Vitali has proven to be a tough SOB and has a great chin.

It could be a great fight.

Yup....I'm not sure this one could go any other way. Either Briggs via early (1st or maybe 2nd round) KO, or Golota on points.

Rums, I don't see Sha-nay-nay lasting the distance with Golota. IF Golota is able to make it out alive and survive Brigg's typical early onslaught, I believe Golota will stop Briggs around the 8th or 9th round. Golota is still a very aggressive fighter and throws a lot of punches. He doesn't always put a lot of power behind them, but he has always thrown an abundance of punches every round and Golota vs McMuffin was no indicator that Golota has slowed down much in this aspect. Sha-nay-nay has always shown a tendency to fade late. Much of this has to do with his ashma. I don't see him lasting the distance with a pressure fighter like Golota.
