What were your thoughts when you saw gimpy Basting enter the ring? :yep Remember when Basting hit Golota slightly after the bell, then Golota came back with an after the combo and Basting had this look of terror on his face?

Was that the only live Golota fight you saw where he won? You also saw Grant and Ruiz, no?

I finally saw that Bastings fight a few years ago....what a bum!
    :rofl:rofl:rofl

He looked like he was 50 years old and he had a knee brace if I recall. Believe it or not, he was a giant step DOWN from Eli Dixon!

Interestingly enough, I think the only Golota fights that weren't televised live since the Bastings bout where Brian Nix, Terrence Lewis, and most recently, McBride.

And this bum thought he was hot **** on a silver platter. Even after Golota pounded him, he left the ring strutting like a roster, acting like HE just won the HW crown.

I heard he was a male ***** or call boy or whatever.:nut

Before the fight Basting said his game plan was to try and get Golota mad and make him DQ himself and said something like "Golota has never been in the ring with a guy like me." Wonder what he meant by that?

This guy was supposedly a boxer by day and night club stripper by night.

Hopefully Meehan is next. I firmly believe this is the best opponent for Golota's next fight.

    Joecool, what's the word?

Jack Basting certainly had a high opinion of himself.

Didn't you say that the Ruiz Rican fans were being quite rude?

I remember when Golota put the squid on his ass. Although by this piont I had already figured out Golota was a horrible finisher and I knew he would let this guy off the hook again. ****.

Yup! Round 2 of Golota-Ruiz had its similarities with round 1 of Golota-Grant...

    :patsch

For such a BAD finisher, he often does a good job hurting his opponents before letting them off the hook...weird!

Does someone who posts in this thread work directly with Golota's team or something? The info is always really current.

If so, I'd love to one day be able to meet Golota. Maybe even shake his hand. How approachable is he? Has anyone here ever met him?

I remember after the Bowe and Grant early knock downs I jumped off my chair and was screaming like a little girl as loud as I could. I thought for sure Golota was gonna finish them and the fight would be over. After he knocked down Ruiz I just kinda sat there and waited for Golota to let them off the hook Sure enough....

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

A friend and I also jumped from our chairs when Golota dropped Grant the first time. This was followed by a drunken toast and numerous rants about how Lewis's win against Golota was a fluke!

    :rofl

When the Ruiz knockdown happened, I wasn't quite as enthuisiastic.
