Golota is not exactly titanium at this point. On his worst night, Vitaly's punches are still easily much stronger and much more accurate than McBride's. Also given Golota's natural weaknesses and Vitali's natural strengths, I would rather avoid this one until Golota's real title defence,(not merely the defence of the current title he holds, of course). I think King will try to pressure AG into this one, to make a last fizzle out of his old money horse. This is what King does best: maximize a fighter's earning potential before its too late and belts be damned. With friend's like King, who needs enemies?

Golota's come a long way from the days of being a poor street thug in Warsaw. I am happy he's still able to make this kind of money and have good financial security for his family. Of course the GOLOTA way of doing things would be to blow his luxurious paycheck at the casinos the day he cashes it. :nut Hopefully Mariola has his ass in check in this department.

Will Meehan be the opponent or will this fight happen after the fight in Poland?

    As always, THANKS!

One might say Golota never needed to win a big fight to say he had a successful boxing career. His exciting performances (win or lose)coupled with his enigmatic, charasmatic persona is all that was ever needed. It's certainly made him a very rich man. Golota's career a SUCCESS!

I concur. The above post is spot-on; joecool is the man.

For the record, I always believed joecool was a 350 pound black chick.

No doubt, Golota shall inevitably be kicking major ass before the year ends.

I was hoping Golota could get to Ibragimov for his belt but it appears Wlad will get to him first. This will still leave Maskeav (if he gets past Peter) and Chageav. Wouldn't it be awesome if Wlad unified then Golota gets a shot and knocks Wlad out in the 1st round via Golota-Grant and takes ALL the belts? Stranger things have happened.
