    HBO gets final say, ehh?

Is it from a pool of fighters, like the four you mentioned?

I would have loved to see him fight once more this year- even if it was against a bum to stay sharp but I'll take Jan 19! Another date at the Garden. I'm not too crazy too see Jones-Trinidad live but with Golota on the card...I might consider going.

I'm with you! I HATE Briggs so I really hope Golota is the one to send him into permenant retirement. Bigger they are the harder they fall. Briggs hitting the canvas hard will shake the Garden! Earthquake in NYC!

Sha-nay-nay may very well huff and puff himself out of there before the 6th round if Golota applies constant pressure! The air is thin for ol' iron lungs.

If Golota is fighting on HBO PPV then you know it's gonna be a big step up from McMuffin. At least somebody in the top twenty. Hopefully Meehan.

    Thanks for the news!

Please let it be Briggs and not Vitali.

He will probably beat Briggs but Vitali is wrong for Golota, and I think it would be very unlikely that he would win that fight.

Vitali will not fight Golota in January for sure.

Golota's too dangerous for Vitali! I wonder if Meehan's still an option...

Personally I really hope its Briggs. While it is the harder fight, it has much more of a payoff then if he were to fight Meehan. Meehan is coming off the big win over TOS but Briggs is much bigger name and a recent champ. IF AG can pull it off...which he should be able to. As long as he gets out of the first round (particularly the first) and the 2nd and 3rd, he'll be fine. By the 4th Briggs will be thowing single digit punches per round :lol::lol:.

Plus I'd love to see Golota KTFO Briggs in front of his home town crowd.

If that fight was on, I'm sure the whole world would know about Vitali coming back to face Golota. So it definitely isn't VK.

No one is willing to give money for this fight, Vitali is not backed by HBO, neighter is Golota now. They must win next fight to think about it. Hope is from German TV, but they also backed out from Vitali recently.

    That's understandable.

After all, Vitali hasn't made it through a training camp in years. High risk investment.
