I'd hate to see two of Chicago's favorite heavyweights fight each other (especially outside of Chicago). :fire

    That is correct.

I don't see how a fight with Mollo makes any sense.

No name recognition, and a big risk. Not because hes THAT good, cause hes not all that great. But he is still dangerous with a big punch, and because he is a quick starter, who will try to get AG out in the first 2 rounds, like everyone has already mentioned. The type of boxer AG has the most problems with.

Jan 19th @ MSG @ HBO PPV vs Mike Mollo.

What I heart it's personal for Golota, but I don't know the details.

Hey, Mollo probably said something to Golota in the gym to **** him off. This is gonna be personal & it works both ways. Mollo's gonna be gunnin' for AG, so he better be ready for all hell to break loose in round 1. And whatever Mollo said to make Andrezj see red better bring the KILLER out of Golota, or fishing time will be here sooner than he thinks.

    In any event...

    (((((((((((((((((((GO GOLOTA)))))))))))))))))))):happy

I do not like this fight. He is fighting Mollo on the undercard of Trinidad/Jones. That means there will be Millions of viewers and massive pressure for Andrew. Mollo is gonna make the most of this opportunity and intend to smoke Golota in the first round. I think it is over.

I will be routing for the G man of course but I still feel this is the end. I hope I am wrong. If he does KO Mollo I will be Back in full swing on the G man express but I think this is it. This is a bad move for the G man at this time.

No way. This is exactly what Golota needs. A fight that is dangerous against a guy that will be swinging from the floor trying to take him out. PRESSURE baby! Thats what its all about. And this Mollo is a ****ing major BUM. If Golota can't beat him, how the hell does he expect to challange a belt holder?
So this will be a good test. If he passes, he moves on. If Mollo pulls a Brewster on him, so be it. Golota can't "pretend" he's fighting forever in this comeback. Eventually, its got to get tougher to see if he's got what it takes.

Can't wait to call Ziggy to discuss this one with him.:think

Oh yean, BTW...this is a D King match up made in heaven. Golota wins, his cash cow continues. If Mollo wins, (another DKP fighter) theres another HW he can make $$$ off of & beating AG will establish his name.

Where is a fight with Mollo gonna get him?

    Waste of time, unecassary risk.

JETSKI you are right that Golota needs to see if he has what it takes, but we all know AG is better then Mollo, there is no question about it. But Mollo is the exact type of fighter that has the best shot at exposing AG's weakest area. Golota got rocked and allowed himself to get caught by McMuffin in the first round. I think Mollo if he had AG in that same situation would have a much better chance of finishing him off. Why test AG's weak area again, when we already know what it is, and how it works. It's an unecassary risk, and should only be taken when needed to. I don't like Golota fighting these types of guys, because the results are always the same. This is his last go at it, and I really dont want to see him get blown out in the 1st round by some bum.

I agree 100%, but AG has got to get over that "getting blown out in round 1" syndrome someday. He's got to have a real challenge before he steps in there for another HW title fight. Why not now? This fight with Mollo will produce enough anxiety for Golota, which will get him primed for that Title fight.

That is, if he's able to take care of business against Mollo. This is somerthing for everyone to get excited about. Golota...his fans...Mollo. There'll be great hype & build up leading to this fight. You didn't want to see him fight another ez stiff, did you?

It will be SHOWTIME on HBO!!!

I agree that Andrew has got to get over the early fight anxiety crap! But, the problem with Mollo is that he has nothing to lose and everything to gain! On the other hand, Golota should have no problem with Mollo, they are in different leagues as far as ability and experience and that is what everyone will be saying upon a AG win???? He doesn't have that much time to climb the ladder slowly and he won't be considered deserving of a shot at anyone with a victory over Mollo???? Just my opinion!
