McCline and Golota are actually buddies that know one another for years. I'm not sure that their relationship is deep enough to stop a potential fight, especially if it makes sense for both of them. That being said, its tough to gain enough motivation and beat up on someone you know and like.

Mike Mollo? He is not the worst contender, however, at his very best he is the next TOS, that is to say, a gatekeeper. I'm not quite sure that he would be a clear step up over Golota's last opponent. However, given his knockout potential and his relative anonymity, the benefit-to-risk ratio may be too high for Golota in this match up.

I would much rather see a rematch with either Byrd or Ruiz at this point, to see if Golota can reverse those badly judged contests. As a viable alternative, I would be absolutly delighted to see Golota fight Povetkin, who is one of the hottest talents in years but is unlikely to knock Golota out. It would be a real match up of skill, assuming Golota's jab is up for the task. An upset win would give Golota all the steam he needs to challenge any of the belt holders. How do you guys see Golota vs. Povetkin? Is this a fast track for Golota's belts or a recipe for disaster?

 

I’ve seen the guy Povetkin several times in the german television from his very early bouts and I can say that he’s growing a good boxer. He has skill and power too, don’t know if he would be a good choice for Golota. Risky business I think…

Did you see the "Van Halen screw up" on youtube yet?

 

Jump was their encore for one of their shows and eddie was handed an out of tune guitar and they just went with it. Pretty awefull but funny

It was just the one show. I`ve read it was the keyboard sampling track that was played a bit fast but it sounds the same. I think eddie is making up excuses for sounding like crap.

 

Don't feel too bad for Eddie. He got to shag Valerie Bertinelli for many a nights.
