***The Official Golota Express! Bowe-Golota II - 19 years ago today***

Well, its not Hoax's, your's or my opinion that counts here. I was told about Golota's lack of desire to do great things by Scoop Malinowski, a boxing writer who knows Golota personally & has even beat the crap out of Golota's tennis instructor. He told me at Adameks 2nd fight with Briggs that Andrew ate like 10 pieces of fried chicken that night. So he know's whats going on with AG & as of this time, they are not sure where this "comeback" is going, if anywhere.

Believe me Cop, I hope I am wrong about his attitude as well. But unfortunately it doesn't seem that way. If Golota were truly serious about making one more go for it, I think he'd be fighting often like he did after the loss to Lennox Lewis. And he's way too old to simply fight once every 6 months. Seems like he still enjoys boxing and doesn't mind fighting here and there, but it's not exactly a priority in his life anymore. Maybe it never was.....

But hopefully I am talking out of my ass and Golota will get serious.

 

Golota just doesn't have it. Maybe it's his 'panic attacks' or something, but whatever it is, it is.

 

Don King asked Golota to be ready for September

Main Event is negotiating with King about putting Golota vs Holyfield on PPV

There are talks to fight next Mollo or Michael Grant.

Golota is running every days and some gym practises. No spars yet.

Golota is a ****-up, we all know this to be true. But that is no reason to stop supporting him, he's a very excting guy to watch. Right up there with Autoro Gatti.

I always posted how I would love to see a golota loss avenged and now jc posts about grant. Then the holyfield news.

An avenged loss over grant could put a shitload of confidence in the G man to not screw up the holyfield fight.

Im not cheering yet, but I am a bit stoked!!!!

Golota has quite a checkered past, I dont think we need to go over how many times he messed up fights he should have won.

Outside the ring I'm sure he's a swell fella when he's not pretending to be a police officer.

JC just lit a small fire under my ass with that bit of news too. Whenever I'm feeling gloom and doom about Golota's future, Joecool's updates will cure that problem every time.

Ya know hoax, I just rewatched the bates fight and I did see his jab working very well. During the first broadcast it was a party so I was not paying attention to his technique and I watched it a few times after during the days it happened. Bates was smothering and just trying to survive so the G man had no time to keep him at distance, use his footwork and shake off the ringrust as well.

I REALLY HOPE THE GRANT FIGHT COMES OFF MAN!!!!! A ko avenged victory would be SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!

True, Bate's smothering style wasn't giving Golota much of a chance to prove his jab. His inside combination punches were nice though.

In all actuality, it's really hard to gauge where Golota stands from the Bates fight. We need to see him go a few rounds with a top 30 or so fighter. Bottom line, he got himself a 2rn round TKO after a 2 year lay off, so we can't complain too much. Let's just wait and see how he looks in his next fight. I can't wait!!!!!

 

We do`nt want golota to be just one of these guys that the belt gets passed around to. Someone who is undeserving of a belt, like briggs for example. Lets have him avenge the grant loss!!!!

I hope JC posts Golotas next fight is grant in september on the undercard of mayorga/vargas.

Joecool has said before how King wants Golota ready for September. If Golota has a speck of serious in him regarding his comeback, HE'LL BE THERE! If he doesnt fight then, I will have serious doubt about his ambition. Golota-Grant would be just awesome. The first fight was fairly exciting. First Grant was dominating the first round until Golota flattened him with a beautiful straight right hand, then Golota dominated Grant with his jab and combinations, then Grant got lucky and landed a nice straight right hand that wobbled Golota before getting knocked down.....we know the rest.
