1st thing I thought when I saw the birthday photos was "Holy smoke, he's under 240!" When Joecool said he was 227, I thought something was wrong, that he couldn't be that light, which wouldn't be any good for him. Thank goodness JC was in error & the correct weight is a perfect 237!

Rip that pepper Mollo apart, Golota!!! He looks great!:happy

I think we'll see a bit more speed from him now. The power will always be there. Mollo is a marked man...a walking dead man.

His nut job aura only adds to his appeal and charisma. It's part of why we love him.

He can walk into the gym at 243 & after a hard workout will leave at 237. Thats only a 6 pounds difference. For a HW, thats nothing. When I did gymnastics in college, I'd walk in the gym at say 154 & 2 hrs later was down to 150. Thats 4 lbs for a super weltereight. So like I said, a 6 lb swing for a HW is nothing. But come weigh in time for the fight, I hope he's in the high 230's instead of the low 240's.

    ((((((((((((((((GO GOLOTA))))))))))))))))):happy

Dario123 posted those birthday pics from www.bokser.org & I found this small interview, Looks like Mariola makes some comments, too. Any Polski out there care to give us an idea of what they said?

    Thanks!

They talk about the beginning of Andrew's career in the US, when he, an Olympic medalist, had to fight on the undercard of a fight of a local strongman against some bum from the crowd. Mariola is a bit concerned about the young and ambitious Mollo but they're confident. As usual Andrew worked very hard and they're saying he'll come out swinging against Mollo. Golota will not consider his career a success without a champion's belt.

A very nice read, Andrew comes off real cool as usual. Thanks for the link.

Golota is always in a good, lean condition come fightnight.

I recall reading not long ago from his trainer that Golota loves to train, and will train too much, if allowed. He said something to that effect.

Yep. Unlike many fighters, Golota actually enjoys training and getting into spectacular shape. I heard that when it comes to eating right, Golota loves all the healthy foods that is needed for consumption like grilled chicken, salmon, oats etc so "dieting" is never a problem for him. Plus he loves water and drinks gallons of it daily.

This certainly explains why he almost always shows up to fight with an athletic physique.
