If anything, after turning 40, now he has even more to prove....

    :think

Does that mean even more pressure?:huh

Dudes, even if Golota loses, and I mean "IF" Golota loses, you'll still see me on this thread showing support. I love the guy, he's great!
    So in other words...

Unfortunately I’m afraid I will not see the fight live on saturday, cause here in Italy (****ing place) no one seems to be interested in boxing, just soccer on and on. Once in a year there’s a PPV event, nothing else…Hopefully german tv, but I’m not so faithful.I would pay my 50 dollars if were there, even to Don King, just to see my hero!!!
That night I won’t be sleeping so much, that’s for sure!

"I stay in shape. I even got a hair cut to be more aerodynamic. I feel much lighter!"

Get this man in a commentary booth.

    Golota, Mollo ready to collide!
While most the attention on Saturday at Madison Square Garden will be on the legends clash between Roy Jones Jr. and Felix Trinidad, the fight that could steal the show is the heavyweight duel between heavyweight contenders Andrew Golota (40-6-1, 33 KOs) and Mike Mollo (19-1, 12 KOs). Both Golota, 40, and Mollo, 27, have recent KO wins over Mike Tyson-conqueror Kevin McBride. "Everybody is talking about Mollo's speed and his offensive abilities," stated Golota. "Why isn't anybody talking about his defense? I guess we'll know more after the first round. It shouldn't go the distance. I can't see it going the distance.....he says he wants to start fast and be aggressive. I feel the same. It's better for me because now I know what he is going to try to do. Mollo's a good fighter and I know he wants to win. How is he going to win? Be there to watch me.....Bernard Hopkins is my role model. I'm not too old yet. I stay in shape. I even got a hair cut to be more aerodynamic. I feel much lighter!" Mollo stated, "Golota's an old fighter. He's been great and I respect him. He's fought in some tremendous fights that have slipped away from him for whatever reason. I feel like I'm younger and faster and should win the fight. Now I need to get in the ring to prove I'm ready to move to the next level. I fear no one. I have butterflies like I should but no fear. I've been to the Garden before for a basketball game but this will be my first fight there."

I love what GOlota says in that piece. Sounds like Golota is prepared for the bum rush that he knows is coming.

    Oh YEAH!

    Golota TKO mid rounds.

Rums, I was thinking that we should all get together for what may be Golota's last fight this weekend.
AG11 lives in North Jersey. Loufatski, I think once said he's about 20 minutes west of Newark Airport. Your in Nutley. I'm Central Jersey.

Who else on this forum is a Jersey guy & who would be willing to have a Golota party at their place? ****, we all get together & chip in, it comes out to pennies per man. And just think how much of a riot it would be actually watching a Golota fight with guys we've been yappin' with for years, but never even met before!

It would be fun & memorable, for sure.

    :good
