Golota was a trim 237 lbs against Mollo (which in itself is AMAZING for a guy his age). I think what he showed us against Mollo and McBride is about the best it's gonna get at this point.

I think the translation may be a bit wrong.

I imagine Golota said something along the lines of he hopes Mollo doesn't end up like Riddick Bowe.

I would like the "Clones Colossus" himself - the mighty Mr. Kevin McBride to rematch with Golota after Golota beats either Chaguev or the Maskaev-Peter winner. He needs to add some weight and he'll do better next time. Imagine 350lbs. of Irish muscle being delivered behind every mighty blow he lands?!!! He was light for the Golota fight (just 288lbs) - too light for heaven sakes! I still have faith that the big man will be the first Irish born HW champ in history. He fought a game fight against Golota and came up short. It was a good fight.

hoax ur right, also hand speed is crucial for tremendous punching power, along with strength, proper technique/mechanics, using and generating leverage from ur entire body, thats also 1 other reason, andrezj doesn't always throw devestating punches, he rather just connect with stiff shots, he doesn't always use all his leverage, sometimes throwing arm punches, we have a machine that measures punching power, i'm a lightheavyweight, hand speed is vital, obv im not as big as golota, but i'm almost positive i can punch in the same range as andrezj can, i'm very fast (fast hands), solidly built, i'm cut but not as big as g-man obv, good abs/core strength, most of my strength comes from my chest/shoulders, and good mechanics, although ALWAYS room for improvement, i registered in that range where i'm capable of killing with one punch, the highest level measuring pounds of force and although im strong, most of it i believe has to do with my hand speed, on the other hand, a lightheavyweight such as myself is not used to taking a heavyweights punch, so it really works to my advantage that i can punch like a heavyweight in the lightheavyweight division, punching power can be equal amongst divisions, but the major difference is...someone who weighs 175 lbs would struggle absorbing shots from a heavyweight just becasue the size of his body. ur body is not used to taking that extra devestating beating unless u train for it.

I think if there was any big problem there would have been something reported by now. Mollo was exhausted and took countless head blows from a 237lb. man who was in great shape and is strong as an ox. I doubt anyone would feel good and chipper after that. Mollo is a tough kid and I'm sure he's going to be okay. He was kind of acting like a tool during the fight - yelling at Golota while he was being pummelled and coming in headfirst. That said, thank goodness he's alright and there is no lasting damage to his health.

yea timing is important especially for a counterpuncher who relys a lot on timing to generate an attack of his own

hand speed is tough 2 keep when u age cause hand speed is mostly natural and slows down with age, both if andrezj wants 2 make himself the fastest that he can possibly be, the speed bag will be waiting for him, a lot of stretching which improves flexibility, shadow boxing always helps as well, there is always room for improvement, g0...........lota

i love that golota keeps himself in tip top shape for a 40 year old man, he takes the sport seriously, it gives himself the best opportunity 2 keep going strong, keep going andrezj! i'm proud of andrezj, he fought very well.

    haha funny
but in all honesty, someone that big even if he was all muscle would struggle generating any hand speed becasue of his width, we had a bunch of bodybuilders/weighlifters hit the machine, they dont have much punching power at all, these guys were very big, muscular, but couldn't break anything with a punch, u think any of the worlds strongest men would stand a chance in the ring, their hands and punching power wouldn't give them a chance
