in my opinion andrezj looked a lot better against mollo then mcbride, he looked extremely akward against big mac, his footwork was sloppy, he didn't slide much, it looked like he was constantly off balance as if he was gonna knock himself out, and most importantly golota showed heart!:good

mollo did so much holding, if this was hockey he'd b in the penalty box all night long, if this was football and he was an o-lineman, his punter would b punting beyond the endzone, from the lockerooms they would be so far back, mike "the magnet" mollo, mollo should retire from boxing and start his own magnet biz, start selling magents with a logo of his face on them

Good points ironchin. See 1979 exhibition between NFL all-pro defensive end Lyle Alzado and Muhammad Ali. Both men were about 6-3, 240lbs. Alzado had shed weight in training while Ali had just not trained at all pretty much. The result was Alzado hitting Ali with everything he had and not hurting him at all. For a football player Alzado acquitted himself quite well. Of course Ali was doing just enough to not get hurt himself and obviously not trying to hurt Alzado. Alzado was lucky it was Ali and not someone like Jack Dempsey. Dempsey neve let up even during exhibitions. He probably would have put Alzado in the hospital. Ali let him off easy and it was just a publicity stunt for Alzado to make the Broncos give him a new contract or he threatened to retire from football and become a boxer. He promptly got traded to the Cleveland Browns after this as the Broncos mangement was incensed at the fiasco.

Not good news about Mollo, though I'm definitely not surprised.
As someone said here, it's often much better to lose to a quick, clean KO rather than round after round of pummelling...that's what screwed Bowe up so bad.

    Hope it's nothing too serious.

Golota's eye seems to be alright. Right after the fight he was eating hamburgers in some bar while Mollo was being taken to the hospital.

Now he says he would go skiing right now but he needs to learn to DANCE to go to some graduate party or sth with his daughter. After that he's going skiing to Colorado.

He still wants to fight for the belt but before that they're planning to make a fight in Poland around April.

Mollo's trainer says that Mike needs some rest and he'll be ok. He just didn't used to take so many blows to the head on one night from the fighter of Golota's kind.

I will be most likely seeing Golota (unless he decides not to show up like he has the last couple of weeks because of training) on Sunday at the dance rehearsal for the ball that his daughter is participating in. Maybe I can get a couple of pictures and ask him a couple of questions.
I already congratulated his daughter on Andrew's win last week.

Listen to yourself...your putting pressure on Golota. He's 40 F__king YEARS OLD! Didn't mean to yell, but thats what Ziggy did when I told him AG looked slow.
The way I see it, AG has improved from Bates, to McBride, to Mollo. This was a very good win, so much confidence will come from it. Andrzej doesn't want to live & breath boxing like some young, up & comer. He's working hard, but not too hard. He's having fun, which is very important. He may even look better (and maybe even faster) in his next fight.
My point being, AG knows what he's doing, especially with his training & overworking him would probably hurt things more then it would benefit his game. BTW, I think his left shoulder is completely healed, because that jab & hook were working just fine all night long.

I watched the fight again last night for the first time, other than seeing Youtube highlights all week. Golota did damn good. Aggressive as holy hell, landed many solid punches than had to give him tons of satisfaction & absorbed some heavy blows well. In his next fight, whoever its against, I can see him doing the same thing.

Nothing is gonna stop this train now!:!:
