Andrew said that he isn't satisfied with the way he was fighting Mollo.
" I didn't really find my timing. I was constantly late with punches. Every time I connected with a jab I felt that this fight was so damn easy... I know that from one point it was enough to connect with one flush shot to finish the guy like him but I screwed it up. I assure you that I can do twice better that I did against Mollo."

Now this is the kinda stuff I've been waiting to hear.:happy

Thats sounds about right. And like I said, if Andrzej keeps working & enjoying himself, we just might see some more of the Golota who was a wreaking machine. Only this time, that machine finally has a brain that doesn't shut down.

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLOOOTAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Rums, there most definitely is ALOT to be happy about! You were 100% accurate when you said that Golota is reaching his mental prime. That, combined with his experience & 240 lbs of Polska Sila (Polish Power) should be cause for a celebration!

    ((((((((((((((GO GOLOTA))))))))))))))):!:

BTW, Ninja Mantis over at the "new" BA is wondering why you don't check in there anymore.

Thanks! This great to hear. Keep these quotes coming! AG recognizing that he can improve on things and will keep trying to get better can only be a good thing.

I'm sure that AG & Sam Colonna will go over things & try to determine what they can work on to help him continue to improve & sharpen his skills.

BTW, just got off the phone with Ziggy to apologize for saying Golota looked slow when I talked to him on Monday. He agreed that he's not the AG of 1996, but they are forging forward to his next bout. He also said his eye will be fine, which is all I really wanted to hear.

Agreed. Incidentally, there's a great Golota article on the front page.

    :D

Two message boards is enough for me.

Great to hear that AG's eye is doing ok. I was thinking.....and you gotta mention this to Ziggy one day (maybe not now as its not the right time) but when its all said and done and over with Golota.....this man HAS GOT TO put out a book or a movie or something like that. Whatever it is...it would do well and would be much appreciated by his fans. Plus AG will add a few more dollars to his piggy bank because of it......which could help fund future ski trips!

I am so glad that Golota has finally found the inner strength! even though it is a bit late, he has a real chance to become a HW Champion atm. If he was figthing Chagaev in his last fight, he would have become one already

I agree, its great to hear that Golota was not completely satisfied, and wants to improve upon the Mollo performance and up his game. :good

Golota is always in shape. He does not punish his body with weight fluctuations. He is a young 40 and anyway isn't 40 the new 30? That said, he should make this his last comeback because sticking around one fight too long can be hazardous to one's health. He should make this his last year or possibly 2009. Whenever he gets another title shot and then ride off into the sunset. A little less rust and more timing and he would have stopped that guy within the distance. It was still a victory though which is all that counts.

    All in due time!:D :D :D

A book, most definitely I could see happening & would anticipate reading it the lots of excitement.

As for a movie...I don't know. Who would they get to play the starring role of Andrzej?

After all, there is ONLY ONE Golota!:deal
