Wow that's quite a statement. I don't agree. Although there are many bad decisions in the US and in all of boxing, IMO the situation is much worse in Germany. Whole events are orchestrated for one fighter and the bias is EXTREME. It was probably worse in the 90s with such champions as Ottke but even now it's pretty sad.

Golota WILL get robbed if he fights in Germany. They hate him more than if an American came there.

    Kojiro -

You are saying that you think Golota will get robbed in Germany. Well, that's just your opinion. Golota has already been robbed in the USA, twice, and in championship fights, too.

I've never seen bought referees anyplace else to compare with Neuman and Joe Cortez and I forgot the name of that pimp in the Ruiz-Oquendo fight - just to name a few crooks in ref suits that come to mind - and where to even begin with the crooked US judges? It would be far easier to select the few fights that were honestly adjudicated than to pick out the crooked ones. That would be like picking out fish from the sea.

And it's not just in the pros. I was watching a film of the boxing in the '84 L.A. Olympics. What a mockery of the Olympics! The US judges weren't even watching the fights, they were just awarding everything to the Americans regardless of what went on in the ring.

What examples do you have of bad refereeing and judging in Germany?

    Recently

Referee: Brewster - Krasniqi. The ref basically stopped counting at 8 or 9 and helped Krasniqi get up. Fortunately Brewster knocked him out in the next round. It was absurd!

As for the judges Valuev - Donald was pretty terrible.

Obviously there are cases of wrong decisions in the US but it is seldom something blantant even though the people at ESB scream "Robbery!" basically after every fight. By the way I'm not American. On the other hand in Germany when something goes wrong with their fighter **** goes really crazy.

Please. The only way the antics of the crooked US boxing judges and referees could be more blatant was if they dressed them up in striped suits with a number on the back (which they should be dressed up in anyway) and ski masks.

Of course the judges would not be germans, but anyone there is under pressure by the Sauerland and Kohl promotions. Boxing in Germany is really doing great business right now, and that's thank to all the boxers of the recent past (think at Mikhalchewski, Ottke, the early Klitchkos, Rocchigiani and many others). To keep business going those shits are doing everything, including forcing the judges into sometimes ridiculous decisions (I have many examples to mention, maybe another post...).
I'm afraid Golota would be just another victim of that system...

At the Adamek vs Ulrich fight they showed the Golota vs Brewster TKO on the big screen right before the fight.

He was a guest in attendance and they tried to humiliate him.

He should stay away from Germany because they WILL rob him.

I do not want Golota to fight in Poland because there will be too much added pressure and I do not want him to fight in Germany because of their reputation for crooked judges and Golota has already been porked too badly by crooked judges (Ruiz and Byrd).

He should fight somewhere neutral in the US. He seems to feel very at home at MSG. After all that is where his huge fan base began.

It does not matter where Golota fights. He is on a mission.

This is what I thought just before the Brewster fight in Chicago.:patsch

He's definitely improved greatly in the department of dealing with pressure, but why press our luck.

I think he can handle Poland. He was able to do it against Witherspoon in 98. And then against Navarre in 99. But stilll....I'd prefer him fighting in the states!

Maybe they're fighting in Poland knowing that the next bout will be for a title...and in Germany.

Whatever. Like Lou said, he's on a mission & it won't mean a damn where he fights. Actually, fighting Chagaev in Germany may be the best thing. He'll want to rip a russain in front of his promotors home crowd that really gave him the business while attending Adameks fight there.
