One lack-luster fight from Wlad and now Golota can beat him :patsch

As entertaining as this Golota comeback has been, Wlad would murder him with ease.

Right, because Sultan is so much greater than Golota.

He IS better than Golota defensively, but Golota throws better combos and packs a bigger punch.

Just for reference...at this point in time, Golota is currently ranked :

    #8 WBC
    #8 WBA
    #13 IBF
    unranked by the WBO

I wanna see Golota dethrone Chagaev and then fight Valuev for his first and only title defence. That would be ****ing awesome.

Also, let's not forget how aggressive Golota is, even for an old timer. It takes him a round to warm up, but as Jetski pointed out, Golota usually kicks ass in round 2. Wlad has not faced many fighters who are willing to be very aggressive with him. Brewster, Peters and the golfer are 2 of the exceptions and look at the results. Golota will not be intimidated by chess playing magician wannabe Waldo the way he was against Tyson. I have a feeling Golota will not be gunshy at all against Wlad and will force Wlad to mix it up. But you're right, Golota is slow now and it won't be easy getting past Wlad's jackhammer jab. At this stage, Golota won't be able to jab with Wlad. He'll have to get inside, rough Wlad up and throw some of those inside combos to the head and body. Golota is stronger than long-necked Wlad and he'll be able to roughh him up.

****! Wish this fight could have happened in the 90s!

    You nailed ity Hoax!

He'll need to get inside. Wlad fights terribly on the inside, and although prime Golota was a better outside fighter, Golota was always a competent inside fighter whose inside skills were somewhat underrated.

If he can get inside, Wlad's power would also be nullified.

    BTW, like my new avatar?
