Ah yes, Kracow! That is where my wife's friend is from. This is said to be a stunning city which I'm sure you can attest to ironchin since you have actually been there. I agree with you about Polish girls. Although many Ukrainian and Russian girls are also quite gorgeous, there seems to be huge cultural difference between many of them and men from the west. Polish girls, on the other hand, are most often well educated, very good conversationalists, and speak excellent english. I was lucky enough to be seated next to a delightful polish girl on a flight from New York to Warsaw in 2006. Oh, what a hottie she was! I was contecting to Kiev. In retrospect, maybe I should have just stayed where I was!

I know what you mean about working out being boring. I'm in good shape, but could be better. That will happen this summer. I started playing tennis after I got married. My wifes brothers all played & they showed me the ropes. I was about 24 at the time. You are thinking about the time I said now that I'm 40 (15 yrs ago) I'm finally starting to play smart tennis, but physically not the animal I was when I was 25.

Check in your County Recreation Dept. They usually have cheap group tennis lessons in the spring/early summer. It is a terrific sport & if you get the hang of it (definitely need someone to get you started correcrtly) & are lucky enough to get addicted like I did, you'll whip yourself into shape in no time flat. Who knows, maybe one day even get to hit with Golota!

Other than that, I do tons of yard work & projects around the house constantly all summer. Always something to do. And when its hot & humid out, that doesn't stop me. Neighbors think I'm crazy with the work I do in the heat, but hey, no fat on my old butt.

Good luck. You know, you could probably read up on proper tennis stroking technique & go out & hit against a wall. Thats even a better workout than playing someone. You could teach yourself...But for sure, get some guidence from somewhere, so your thinking the proper stuff when striking the ball.

Man, I should be giving beginners some lessons!

BTW, a decent racket will make things much better. There are a 1000 of them. Maybe I could offer a few suggestions. Let me know.

Try to find some on-lone tennis lesson with videos. Heres a sample of whats out there...

Tennis is one sport I messed around with as a kid that I actually enjoyed so that just may be a key that MUST be turned. I think I might have a friend who'd be willing to combat with me at the courts. But yeah I think I'll at the very least read up on some beginers guides before going out there and making myself look foolish in front of the locals. Working the tennis ball against a wall is a good idea. Could work on my reflexes, speed, cuts etc and burn some serious calories deluxe in the processes. The gym I go to may have a racquetball court. I may check that out as well. Hope I dont knock myself out and end up looking like a public douchebag. :!: Why dont you give tennis lessons to beginers? Could be a nice way to hang out with cute girls for an hour and get paid while doing it. My personal trainer at the gym claims he gets all kinds of offers.

I used to be a lawn mowin' sonofabitch untiil I got sent to the hopsital for having a really bad allergic reaction from a wasp sting. Twice in two days! Now I'm a bit paranoid to hang out in the yard, especially during this time of year. I am constantly looking up in every corner of the house making sure those creepy crawler ****ers are not house shopping.

    Thanks for the info Jets!:good

and yes, when i was teaching at the Catholic hs, the students spoke so well, it was as if i was talking to one of my friends here in the states, i wasn't even teaching them, it was basically having conversations with them about anything , it was a lot of fun, awesome!

yea hoax, tennis is a terrific sport to pick up, when i was in hs i played on the team just as an extra conditioning stint for boxing, i love it, its so much fun, i love and play pretty much all sports so i picked up tennis really fast, played in some top state tournaments, and then i went on to play at the d3 college level. and the way u can learn tennis best, is by watching the pros play on tv, going out hitting against the wall, using different strokes is a great idea, and u can also hit up the courts even if u have no1 to play with, if u want u can invest in this cage thing that holds maybe 50 or 100 tennis balls depending on which 1 u wanna buy, which was what i did, n then u can practice ur serve, once ur done serving, its easy to pick up all the tennis balls and then start serving again from the other side, then do it again, thats how i learned b4 i started playing in hs and college, u can join a ladder or club but they can b expensive, but u can look in2 that, like jetski said, hitting against the wall is an awesome way to learn, the more u practice the better u'll b just like anything, u can practice all sorts of shots against a wall, ur forehand, backhand, ur footwork, slice shots, lobs, then when u find a partner and u get more advanced, u'll learn how to put topspin and backspin on the ball, and when to use what shots, learn how to play at the net, and u'll understand the game, it'll become all feel and natural to u, im a big believer in the more u watch something, the more u envision doing something, u should b able to pick it up quickly, watch some tennis on tv, then go out there and practice what u c.

Seeing as how Vitali is apparently going to take the Peter fight after all, (and I certainly hope he does) Golota will obviously have to face someone other than Peter.

Who are the fighters on Golota's short list, now?

Doubt it. He injured himself at breakfast this morning reaching for the sweet 'N' low for his tea.

Mmmh...Almost three months gone from the last fight and still any news about AG's next fight...:huh I suppose either he's closing things with some top ten ranked fighter or he's waiting Vitali's decision to get directly to a title fight against Sam Peter. I'm too optimistic?

The big shouldn't be sitting around waiting. Let him beat up Beck or some other bum in the mean time.

What about Michael Grant? He is still fighting. A crossroads fight for both men, that would catapult Golota back into the headlines.
