I wish I had Golota's number to ask him about tennis. He is a really big football fan and he loves the bears.

Golota hates talking about the Bowe fights. He avoids it at all cost. I think that only Golota will ever know the whole story about some of his performances. If you watch him train though for 10 min you can tell though that he is a really good athlete and has skills. Golota has not lost fights for a lack of talent. If Golota can straighten out his mental issues before he gets too old, then he will cause a lot of top heavyweights a lot of problems.

 

I bet Golota hates talking about Bowe fights 'cause nobody ever stops asking him about the low blows. After he got blown out by Lewis, Golota said he couldn't be aggressive like usual due to all the pressure of everyone talking about the DQs.

IMO Golota didn't look so great vs Bates, I hope he comes in better shape next time and throws straighter punches and adds a bit more quickness to his game. I hope he fights in Oct in MSG like Joecool said.

Golota at age 39 can lose 10 lbs, it's not impossible, look at Holyfield and he's older than Golota. Golota will never be as quick as he once was but if he can lose a few pounds he'll at least be quicker than he was vs Bates.

Watched Golota - Po'uha for the first time in I have no idea how long. A few things....

Golota speaking broken English in the prefight videos...I thought he only spoke in Polish till a year or 2 later.........I don't think Samson Po'uha really looked all that fat for being 287 on a 6-2 frame..... How did he not tell the ref that Golota bit him?!? ....HOW?.... Funny to see Eddie Cotton as the ref (the ref who would eventually DQ him against Bowe)....Golota was only 27 years old and looked it....weighed in at 236 for this fight....a good weight for him (at least for that stage of his career).

You could tell Golota was mentally fragile. After the fight Duva wouldn't shutup about "That's how you do it. That's how champs perform!" By biting?? Doesn't matter now...Andrew got away with it and he would have KO'd him either way but he was really really hurt in Round 3.
