It looks like he still fights. He's won his last 5 bouts (bums), 4 by KO. The last time he fought was Sep 07 so he seems to be about as prolific as Golota. I think a rematch between Golota and Grant might actually rasie a bit of interest. At least for FFN standards, and it'd be nice to see Golota avenge a loss.

Oh, but wait. We're talkin' about the NEW and IMPROVED Ruiz! :rofl

This is how Ruiz decribed his 'new' and 'exciting' style would be, and then what does he do? He bear hugs McCline for 12 rounds in a classic Ruiz stinker. He just can't help himself. :verysad

It's no secret that clinching is a part of boxing, but there should be a clear set of rules and points deducted for "constant" clinching. Anyone remember Lewis-Akinwande? Man, talk about clinching. But, at least the ref did something about it!

Yeah I remember, Akinwande turned into an octopus and latched onto Lewis until he was DQed. The Squeeze Ruiz fights very similar to this and should have been DQed in many of his fights post 16 second annihilation via David Tua which transformed him into the Squid. I'd bet my last buck Ruiz has tentacles on his testacles.

Golota cannot wait to the fall for an opponent. He needs to stay on track and blast some guy who is not a bum but not a world beater either....where is Owen Beck, Gerald Nobles, or even Bruce Seldon when you need em?

Agreed. But unfortunately I think there's a good chance Golota will wait and keep waiting until he lands a meaningful fight, which for all we know could take as long as next year. I'm begining to think Golota does not want to fight guys who dont really count because he is older and stubborn and doesn't want to go thru training camp to fight somebody he doesn't see catapulting him into a title fight.

However King should come up with something for Golota sometime soon, hopefully. Remember what Harold Letterman said about Golota in his fight against Mollo? "I'll tell ya why Andrew Golota is still on PPV. Because he still sells tickets!!!!" (in that extremely loud, over excitable voice of his)

They're home, safe... where they can't be pummeled into a punch drunk coma by Golota. Look at how ridiculous Mollo looked bouncing off those ropes. It was a miracle he didn't drop.

Right. Even if they can't get a decent name, they should put Golota in there with somebody...........even someone like Dino Duva. Let Golota pound on him to stay sharp. LOL Lou Duva would do, even.

And it was a shame to see that once he got in there with a decent opponent in McCline, that Ruiz's new style was abandoned for his old nonsense clinching. But someone said that McCline did the majority of the clinching, but I didn't see the fight, so I don't know. I find it hard to believe that a Ruiz opponent is guilty of doing most of the clinching, when Ruiz is also in the ring.

i really enjoyed seein golota back against mollo..an entertaining fight..but did this fight mean a helluva lot....mollo caught golota clean several times..if he had been a bigger puncher andrew could have been in trouble...that said, and before y'all flame me, hats of to the big pole..what a complex ****in character..here is a guy who has quit in big fights, walked away....yet guts it out in his twilight ring years, boxing on with one eye closed AND going for a barnburning finish in a fight against a guy who coulnt have laced his boots in his prime....

i hope andrew stays focussed, and i hope he gets to fight for a title...he looks in great shape and will be a breath of fresh air in this stagnant pool of fraudulent hw fighters.....win, lose or draw, il be rooting for a happy ending to golotas career.....

Golota also got caught by some huge punches against McBride and those were ****ing bombs. He doesn't move as well as he used to but I don't think he's really that complex a guy. He's always been too tense and his biggest obstacle has always been himself. Now he's "been there done that"... he's more mature, more relaxed, and more focused. Personally, I'd love to see him clean the division.

i would like 2 c andrezj fight on his toes a little more, slide to the right, to the left, the reason y he had 2 eat a few 2 many mollo punches, was not only because of his slower reflexes at the age of 40, but he tends to stand flat footed which doesn't always have him ready to avoid a punch, or deliver a shot of his own, if ur fighting on ur toes, it gives u a better opportunity to sneak and land a devestating shot, andrezj did a better job of this in the bowe fights, believe it or not u do have to be well conditioned and fit to do this all the time in a long fight, i believe evander likes to fight in this style
