JETSKI, Hoax, Loufatski, and all the rest of my fellow Golota-holics:

    THIS IS IT!

This is THE ABSOLUTE LAST SHOT Golota is ever gonna get!

Many of us have been following Golota since 1996 or earlier. Honestly, after the Tyson debacle, if you'd have told me Golota would still be boxing in 2008, I wouldn't believe it.

But here we are, with another crack at the title just around the corner.

    MAKE THIS ONE COUNT ANDREW!!!

And may we finally hear the words.....

    "And NEW......"

If both options are equally possible which is the better route here here? Straight to Peter, or the tune-up and then Valuev/Chagaev winner?

Agreed, straight to Peter, why not? He's as ready as he's gonna be at this stage. And Peter's beatable. He can be outboxed. There will be dangerous moments though.

Just one thing, why does King mention fighting in Chicago for damn's sake! Stay the hell away from Chicago. NYC is where he performs the best. Less pressure but good support.

Agreed. After the Brewster debcale, King would be a moron to put Golota in Chi-town.

Golota is on a mission. He wouldn't care if the fight was in Warsaw Centrum.

I wonder why King says Golota Peter would be for a temporary championship belt?

If Golota were to beat Peter, he'd HAVE the belt, and would then have to defend it shortly thereafter against Klitschko. I guess he says temporary due to the fact that a first opponent to defend against is already scheduled and mandated.

I hope this plan happens, as that sets the stage for two great heavyweight fights for the WBC. I think Peter Golota would be a big selling fight, and should create quite a bit of interest in the bubbling heavyweight title scene, now that we have two titles unified, and threats to unify more.

I think the Peter Golota fight (if it happens) would be a pick em fight. Golota would obviously have to do his best defensive work as Peter is throwing for the fences, but I think Andrew has got enough to withstand Peter's wild clubbing caveman shots, as McCline did, and possibly decision him. He was able to keep his composure very well against Mollo's early swarm. Let's hope he can do the same when Peter is the one trying to take his head off.

Peter is ultra dangerous but his punches are wide. They usually land on the back of the head. I think Golota has a real chance here. He's tougher now than he's ever been and he's still a pretty good boxer. even at this age.

Once Peter nails Golota, though, he'll then be all over him like red paint.

I hope Golota can pull out his finest performance and keep his compusure and keep from getting in trouble for this one, cause he'l need all the mettle he can muster. Peter is a strong and wreckless sum b**th with those looping shots, as you said. I had hopes of Maskaev derailing Peter but look at what happened, there. Now Golota steps up to the plate to attempt this arduous feat.

Golota is a much better boxer than McCline is, (and Peter) and Golota is more powerful of a puncher than McCline ever thought about being...........So, if McCline can bounce Peter around the mat, I think Golota can, as well, with more power and better skills. At least, I hope.

This is gonna be good, if they can get it put together..........Go, GOLOTA!

    Thats awesome news!!!!

I am hoping its Valuev. Golota matches up better with him. Peter's bull rushing style would be much more difficult for Andrew, though he could do it.
